I read age gap is an issue sometimes. I'm 30 shes 35. Is this a problem?

I the US citizen and 30 to clarify. Shes Japanese.

Also I'm just about ready to file the I129F.

Was also wondering if the wet ink signature wave for that still is in effect? I did hire a lawyer to help me fill out the forms. He told me it was okay due to covid but I wanted a second opinion on that.

Thank you guys! 😊

Your age gap is not a problem at all.

The wet ink signature refers to it been handwritten rather than stamped; you're fine signing, scanning and printing.

And honestly, you didn't need a lawyer.

You know I thought about you haha.

He did offer services for a very low price though. It gave her more peace of mind. He has a very good reputation with Japanese people in CA it seems.

I hope you are doing well 😊😊😊😊

You've been a great help.

Not a problem - age gap is more of a ten or fifteen year plus concern.    Like us, she was 24 and I was 50.

And not Japan.

Lawyer is wrong.  It was okay way before COVID.

No need for lawyers for 99% of K-1 processes.

There is a gap of 33 years between me and my spouse. This normally raises a red flag, however, four of our presidents had a large age gap between their souses, with Donald Trump 25, and president Wilson 33 years, the only president married after he was elected. I have a pending I-751form 9/2020 and an N-400 from 9/2021and hope will have no problems.

That seems pretty common for Philippines.  I would say age gap in Philippines would be more like 55 and her 22, but that wouldn't be an issue at the US Embassy in Manila.

I believe Tyler and Cleveland both also got married after they took office (actually while President), as well as Wilson, though Tyler wasn't elected President (he was elected VP). But I agree, a 5 year age gap is nothing to worry about at all.

Did you have an interview yet to remove CR1? or for N-400? I like to know what to expect and if the officer asked questions about the age gap.

We had AOS interview together she just asked if we don’t mind the age difference and we said we don’t right now we applied for the 10 year green card in June this year so we are in the waiting period
