Hello everyone!
I was an idiot and cancelled a visa petition. I was angry at my fiancé and said he fraud me into an engagement. Long story short it was an ugly argument where he used an ex against me to hurt me and not thinking straight I did that.

the visa is obviously cancelled. however we decided instead of redoing the k-1 we would do the spousal.

question is should I write a letter confessing I was upset and telling them I understand that visa cannot be re opened ?

question 2 I plan on staying for a total of 4 months in 2021.

will doing that dumb letter hunt us as that’s what’s making me very anxious in applying for it ☹️

Will they use that letter against us? Since it was so soon :(

It depends on what you wrote in the letter.

If it was a simple withdrawal, then no problem.

If you accused him of fraud in the letter, then expect that to be looked at.

I would think a letter might only be appropriate if you were planning on pursuing a second K1 application, but changing to a spousal visa, I would not worry about it.  As @Boiler suggested, you might want to plan on being at the interview in case any questions come up.  Beyond that, I would focus on the future rather than the past.

Did you say anything other than withdrawing?

OK, it was not clear to me that you had already sent a letter.  Yeah, this might be asked about.

Likely to be discussed.  I strongly recommend that the petitioner be present at the interview.
