But we're not sure if the fiancé stayed in CMN or went back to a different city in Morocco. I am concerned because in my country, curfews and local lockdowns severely affected domestic travel. I hope this will not be the case in Morocco.

Have a non-stop flight to JFK on the 3rd. Currently he needs to get authorization to leave Morocco and has been having trouble at his local office because he already left and came back. No one seems to know exactly what form to use and says that he can't leave unless he has a marriage certificate or is sick and needs treatment.

So it's not going very well at the moment. Still have a couple of days before he will need to leave to travel to the airport, so there is still hope.

Spain is subject to the travel ban. K1 is not an exception.

Where can I find a list of countries that are subject to the travel ban so I can avoid this problem in a coming future.

I'm worried about this. The next flight back to Casablanca will put him over his 24 hours.

I didn't really want to be trending for this sort of thing. I hope at least someone can read this and learn from our mistake. :(

I'm definitely taking notes! I'm so so sorry this happened to you. Even I wasn't aware of the extent of the ban. And now I'm doing a lot more research. I hope you and your Fiancé can be together soon. And I would highly recommend that he books WITH royal air Maroc. They're a good airline and it's a direct flight! One flight is always better than two. I hope everything works out for you both! Good luck and happy new year

Do you have to quarantine if arriving internationally into JFK? or can you transit to another state?

If you are only passing through the airport you don’t have to quarantine.
