The interview letter mentions that cellphones are prohibited but I thought that someone said they had lockers there to keep them? Can recent interviewees confirm please? In doubt I just won’t bring mine but it’s a pain.
Can we bring an umbrella? 🤔

The following items are prohibited inside the U.S. Consulate:

  • Food and beverages

  • Weapons or tools

  • Briefcases, backpacks, luggage, or large purses

  • Electronic or recording equipment of any kind, including, but not limited to: laptop computers, cell phones, PDAs, audio and video players, and pagers

  • Oversized strollers

  • Nail files and nail polish “

Yes bring your cell phone they will put it in a small locker and hand you the key. I saw other people with what I would call large purses but I suppose that’s up for interpretation. I just brought my documents in a plastic grocery bag. Some people just held theirs in their hand. It wasn’t raining the day I went but I imagine umbrellas would be fine if it is. They just need to make sure of no electronics.

Thank you. Do you know if they’d accept to put earphones with your phones?

I actually don’t know, I didn’t bring mine. But they are small so you can try. It will probably be fine I’m sure they will fit in the small locker if they don’t allow them in your bag.

I personally didn’t and it was fine but I heard they appreciated when someone did upload them ahead of time!

I didnt get an email asking them to upload. Did you get an email that you need to upload these documents?

They're working on/maybe done March 25th and next up is April 1st (they only had interviews once a week pre covid). The most recent interviews were scheduled for October 21st. Looks like they're moving pretty fast.

I'm still hopeful for a November interview. Only 15 days left until the third week of October🤞

I been praying everyday hopefully we hear something.

Do we know how many more reschedules they have left? Would have been nice if there was a massive K1 tracking sheet somewhere (similar to ours) I could review LOL

I’m K1 and someone recently made a very helpful tracking sheet. It’s linked on the Facebook group if you search K1 backlog

Hey guys I have a question for y’all. If I have the 1040 forms of my two co-sponsor is that enough or I really need their W2? I never uploaded their W2 to NVC and was still approved. The last W2 I uploaded was for my husband for 2016 as he haven’t been/worked in the USA since then. He worked here in Canada on a student visa. So should I request my sponsors the W2 or their 1040 forms should be enough?

Been trying to figure out the same thing.

Asked an admin on a Facebook group and this is what she said.

"they will issue a rfe for them. You can not upload tax returns without w2. You need to upload them now under additional documents otherwise you will delay your case. Its not a matter of asking, you're supposed to read the forms and submit them as everyone's case is different"

I've already been DQd so I'm confused but will likely just get them and bring them along. I think once you tell NVc you have a co-sponsor, they request everything they need. I think she may be wrong but not willing to take that risk! Unless anyone on here has any further insight.

I had only submitted 1040 as well and also approved.  Would be nice to know definitively earlier than later what is truly needed.

from what I gathered during my dq phase people were getting qualified with less then optimal paperwork due to covid. Chances are if other people in the past have had to do it and you didn't during covid then you probably will need to still. I'm curious for rafale. Shouldn't he have had to file anyways to prove that he wasn't making too much? I thought American citizens had to file anyways even if they weren't working in the USA

Guys I am so sad right now- my husband is on his way to Montreal for his interview tomorrow and his medical results are not back yet. He went 9/18 on the advice of  Dr Zatzman's office, saying that would be plenty of time for the results to be back. Well, they are not, and they said they likely will not have them today. So he's going in knowing that he will be put on AP until the results are in.

Has anybody dealt with a delayed medical, and how long did it hold things up once the results were submitted? I found stuff from years ago but nothing recently when I searched the forums. Our 2-year anniversary was yesterday and I just can't handle much longer of a delay. :(
