Embassy Review : My interview was Sept 23rd at 10:15am and I arrived on time, they scanned all my things and sent me upstairs. I talked with a smiley guy behind a glass wall. He was wearing a mask of course but his eyes were smiling lol. Everyone was very friendly actually! He asked for my original docs one at a time. Didn’t ask for the financial stuff at all, not even the i864. Just passport, 2 photos, birth certificate, marriage certificate, and police certificate. They didn’t ask for any photos or any of those details at all. After they took my original docs I waited for about an hour. Just waited lol. Finally they called my name over the intercom and I was SO EXCITED 😆 I LITERALLY JUMPED UP! Lol 😂 when I went around the corner to the lady behind a glass she said “Hi!” I said “Hi, I am SO happy to see you!” Lol 😂 She laughed and said “What happened, were you one of the ones who got cancelled originally?” I said “YES! I was supposed to be April 6th 😁” She smiled and then said, “Well it looks like you have everything you need here, so we should be good. Let me just double check.” And she went over my docs again. She asked a few questions, how my husband and I met, when, and what does he do for work. I think that’s about it! She then reminded me that my medical was technically expired but because of Covid everyone is getting an extra month. I said thank you 😊 She made sure I understood I had to cross the border before the expiry date. I told her - don’t worry I know we’re not supposed to, but I already bought my ticket! I’m ready to go as soon as the passport arrives!! She said, Okay! And told me it would be sent out right away and to keep checking my status on CEAC. I got my passport in the mail on Monday afternoon, interview was on the Thursday morning prior. So it was processed and arrived at my door via Purolator within 3 business days. TRULY GRATEFUL.

I also just want to encourage anyone who is still waiting. Don’t loose hope!! Once everything comes together with the papers, you’ll be alright 🤗 Keep the faith!! Sending love to you all ❤️

Hi guys! Did you ever make it to your interview or was it cancelled?

It was cancelled like everyone else’s due to Covid-19. All US embassy’s closed for face to face appointments. We are hoping that as soon as they reopen, our appointment will be rescheduled. Still waiting to hear any news.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
