Bro... you guys have been saying this since 2015. Not to mention predicted WW3 I think 4 times now. Get over yourself

Entering the WH forcefully with loaded weapons and threatening the lives of government officials isnt dangerous?
Really?
Im not predicting WW3.
Live in a country like Iraq and then tell me that what happened isn't a big deal and the current administration isn’t dangerous.

I know right.... It took me a bit because I haven't been near a native Scot for a few years now. Maybe @laylalex can translate for us.

Al has a very, very mild accent relatively speaking. He grew up with an English mother and was homeschooled (I did not know they allowed that in Scotland but apparently they do) until he was 16 before he was sent away to school in England. He went to university in England and worked only in London until he moved here. So it's completely intelligible, a la Tony Blair (but not as irritating) or Neil MacGregor. His sister did one year at Glasgow School of Art and otherwise has been kicking around in Perthshire for her entire life and she has slightly more of an accent. But otherwise, nope. (They are also far, far more posh than I could ever hope to be.)

He has made me watch Rab C. Nesbitt to tune my ear better. I do not recommend watching Rab C. Nesbitt if you are not at least at university level of comprehension of Glaswegian.

Edit to add: I promise there are ZERO profanities in that video.

https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-orderly-transition-f03215c31a400f815a8f62960a430063

Trump spent much of Wednesday afternoon watching the insurrection on television from his private dining room off the Oval Office. But aside from sparing appeals for calm issued at the insistence of his staff, he was largely disengaged.

Instead, a White House official said, most of Trump’s attention was consumed by his ire at Vice President Mike Pence, who defied Trump’s demands by acknowledging he did not have the power to unliterally reject the electoral votes that determine the next president. The official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Trump only reluctantly issued the tweets and taped a video encouraging an end to the violence. The posts came at the insistence of staff and amid mounting criticism from Republican lawmakers begging him to condemn the violence and tell his supporters to stand down, according to the official.

More:

Trump has been single-mindedly focused on his electoral defeat since Election Day, aides said, at the expense of the other responsibilities of his office, including the fight against the raging coronavirus. Indeed, it was Pence, not Trump, who spoke with the acting defense secretary to discuss mobilizing the D.C National Guard on Wednesday afternoon.

On Wednesday, Trump effectively banned Pence’s chief of staff, Marc Short, from the White House, an official said, believing Short to have been the driving force behind Pence’s refusal to overturn the vote.

This is just a tantrum. Very disturbing.

I was trying to get a point across......Trump is still dangerous.

And past Presidents were not?  Barack Obama wasn't dangerous at all was he? The Nobel Peace Prize winner who brought "Peace" to the world by launching military campaigns in Somalia, Yemen, Iraq, Libya and Syria, And Obama's vision for a "Nuclear Free World"?  that was followed by a mass expansion and upgrading of the U.S. nuclear arsenal.. And let's not forget about the drone attacks and other bombings, 26,000 + bombs that he ordered dropped on 7 countries that KILLED not Terrorist but civilians., That wasn't dangerous or did that just not happen?,

As of August 2016, according to the “Costs Of War Project” at the Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs at Brown University, at least 31,000 Afghan civilians have been killed in Afghanistan. Well over 40,000 Afghan civilians have been “seriously injured” since January 2009. The International Committee of the Red Cross had 9,200 new patients in 2015, and 1,261 were amputees.

It was estimated, as of June 2016, that there were 1.4 million refugees inside Afghanistan and “nearly 1 million Afghans were internally displaced.” At least 2.6. million Afghans are refugees in over 70 countries.

Pretty sickening when look at the numbers and realize that each number is a Human lIfe..  Fact is, Trump spent the last 4 years de-escalating the wars and cleaning up Bush's and Obama's mess,  and for the first time ever,  Trump and his son-in law brokered the deal with Sudan, the UAE and Bahrain to recognize Israel, how easily we forget about something as important as that.. As others have stated,  Trump has been the most anti-war President in a generation, so I'm not buying the "Dangerous" bit that the left and media is pushing, by comparison, Trump looks like Mother Theresa.

I never said other presidents weren’t dangerous.
Under president Trump my life and my spouse’s life is in grave danger because of the so called peace he brought to Iraq and the middle east. Things he has done has directly affected my life, my family’s life.
unless u live it, u dont really know.
I am not promoting any president has been good. A US president invaded Iraq and all the presidents after have just made it worse.
now we are in a position of ds-5535, which Trump ordered.  We have been told a decision could take years. We dont have years to wait for the usa to make a decision. It is too dangerous. We are being forced to make a choice to live in neither one of our countries. We have to choose a country that accepts both of us just to save our lives.

I haven't seen that video.

I wouldn't call on my neighbours for having a get together, partying loudly, or repairing cars in their driveway.

I would not hesitate to call in if anyone threatened to hurt, or kill, someone.  I'm not a fan of the police, they are not the solution to all social and political problems...but they still have a role in our society.

Some people do not agree with you.  I keep hearing many loud Dem voices saying the Police should be disbanded/defunded, etc.  We will see what happens, but early numbers in from the cities doing it do not look too good.

There have been similar incidents, for some reason Australia seems bad.

And they never seem to have resources to deal with real crime.

Up in Quebec was a nice incident.

I didn't say it wasn't our fault now did I? But we have been saying here for months that if you keep pushing there will be a response in turn. Now they are trying even harder to hurt those on the Right.

It is interesting how the Dems/Left/MSM are thinking they had no blood on their hands in this whole episode, but whatever, Trump is now or will be soon a politically toxic former President with a lot of people willing to follow him.  We could see a play at a third party which would not be bad if it could actually be viable, but who knows what will happen politically in the next two and four years.  Personally I think the GOP has a lot more to lose considering the way the Dems and their media allies will play this, but that mob on Wednesday was not just made up of Republicans as Trump resonated with a lot of folks on both sides not to mention minority groups.  Time will tell.

I can tell you are new around here so I will go easy on you. But I have lived in Iraq and Afghanistan. There was a 10 year span from 2005-2015 where I seriously spent more time out of the country in the MENA region than I spent in the USA.
