It's exhausting. I had a long chat with my usually cheerful doctor today. Could tell he was terribly melancholy despite his best attempts.. Can't stress enough how much this stuff gets to the people that are on the front lines desperately trying to pull people through it, keep them alive, and still lose so many patients in the most horrific ways.

I personally know an RN supervisor, basically oversees the whole hospital with this, while she does say she's never seen tubes clogged like this before, she definitely isn't in a panic about it, and doesn't believe in wearing a mask at the store. She doesn't take her kids to target very often anymore only because she doesn't want silly comments by prejudiced people over her not making them wear a mask.

09/14/2012: Sent I-130
10/04/2012: NOA1 Received
12/11/2012: NOA2 Received
12/18/2012: NVC Received Case
01/08/2013: Received Case Number/IIN; DS-3032/I-864 Bill
01/08/2013: DS-3032 Sent
01/18/2013: DS-3032 Accepted; Received IV Bill
01/23/2013: Paid I-864 Bill; Paid IV Bill
02/05/2013: IV Package Sent
02/18/2013: AOS Package Sent
03/22/2013: Case complete
05/06/2013: Interview Scheduled

06/05/2013: Visa issued!

06/28/2013: VISA RECEIVED

07/09/2013: POE - EWR. Went super fast and easy. 5 minutes of waiting and then just a signature and finger print.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
05/06/2016: One month late - overnighted form N-400.
06/01/2016: Original Biometrics appointment, had to reschedule due to being away.
07/01/2016: Biometrics Completed.
08/17/2016: Interview scheduled & approved.
Very easily distinguishable demographic as well.
Prior to covid, I probably didn't normally get within 10 feet of people in public unless I was in a long line.  6 feet is a made up number, just like "wear a mask for others" is a made-up phrase.  39 years of dealing with an HIV pandemic, and we never shut down a damn thing when 900,000+ people die annually.  It's really no different than #BLM and rioting over one criminal's death when so many blacks are killed every day.
Well, there is kind of a difference between how HIV spreads and how the coronavirus spreads unless you're doing something you don't want to talk about freely on here.
You focus on spread, and ignore the nearly one million dead annually for 39 years if that helps you sleep better.  Personally, I worry not about either pandemic, even though the newer one is more of a risk for me.
Aids is a totally diffrent animal. The things done to flatten the curve for corona would have zero effect on the spread of aids.  As I am sure you know you cant catch aids from casual contact
https://www.cdc.gov/hiv/basics/transmission.html#how-is-HIV-passed
You can get or transmit HIV only through specific activities. Most commonly, people get or transmit HIV through sexual behaviors and needle or syringe use.
I know right. LOL I dont think I could catch aids from sitting near you on an Airplane, unless I was really lucky.
Please don't stick words in my mouth. We know what to do to prevent the transmission of HIV, and I certainly have never ignored it. I have been careful in my own past, because I knew the risks and I knew how to limit them effectively. With COVID19, we think we know what we can do to limit transmission -- social distancing, face coverings, cleanliness -- but we don't know how to stop it as well as we do with HIV. While we may have no vaccine for HIV, we do have a variety of drugs that can make life not only bearable for those infected, they can live largely asymptomatic lives.
Apples and oranges.
I'm sure in 39 years, or even in two years, we will know better what to do to minimize covid as well.
As for the bold part... even with that, we still lose almost 1 million people annually.  And as I said, we have never shut down one single economy because of it.
What if I told you its quite possible to care about both.
I think that might be a fallacy of relevance
What I guess if you shut down every gay bathhouse in America it might affect the spread of Aids.
Social distancing would for sure stop it.
Because we didn't need to shut down anything to prevent HIV transmission? Because the 1million stat is worldwide? Because we don't have 4 million (and counting) new cases of HIV in this country every year? Because the AIDS epidemic was slow to spread in the beginning and limited to certain portions of society?
COVID19 doesn't care if you shoot up or engage in unsafe sex. You can't get HIV from going to church unless you're doing something in the undercroft with an infected parishioner or pastor or whatever.
I sort of can't believe I have to type this stuff, and I prefer to think that you're just messing with me because it's less upsetting to me.
