USCIS Application Service Centres Re-Opening

Good news finally,

USCIS biometric centres will be Re-opening almost every state in July 20.

 

Just wanted to update folks like me who are patiently waiting for the EAD.

They've been updating/changing the list since this morning. Hopefully we will see more and more updates as the week goes on.

Yes that might happen if the Congress can’t approve the funding they requested which is highly unlikely imo but even if their staff are furloughed they can still do the basic biometrics but the overall case processing will probably take longer since it requires in person interviews  and all that. Hopefully that won’t be the case!!!

Saw that last night... Now it's a question of how far in the future the appointment will be. It would be great to start seeing some people getting biometrics appointments to get a sense of how big the backlog is. Mildly concerned by the various delays as my L1-A expires end of Jan 2021.

I just saw our ASC in Kansas City will be opening next month as well. I feel like there is no movement without the biometrics lol.. Im bored not being able to work. Im sure lots of people feel this way

I'm on the same boat as you. I imagine if the furlough really happens on august and they reopen on 27th things will get chaotic...
