The dates people are giving (July 15th) is when routine visa services start again, as announced on the State Department's Twitter feed. No one knows what that means for individual embassies.

People are on this thread because they are looking for any kind of hope or information that anyone has seen or gathered about Embassies reopening, because some are missing their loved ones terribly and the uncertainty of how many months more or less we could be just waiting for the embassies to open creates anxiety, depression and stress when they just want to create their new life in America with their loved ones.

 

 So everyone here is looking for companionship and support and also any bit of helpful good news they can have that gives them a yes "yay" they might be opening up Routine Visa services soon. Immigration is IMPORTANT to us all or we wouldn't be on this forum. Everyone deals with the stress of immigration in different ways in their own ways. Who are you to judge how others process this or cope. Go somewhere else with your pessimism and negativity towards the countless love ones and would be immigrants. With this single thread of Embassy updates gives them a pep in their step that day that others are getting surprised expedited interviews or that maybe on July 15th Embassies can start phased openings for example. 

 

I hope you come back here with a better frame of mind of compassion for others.

Taking guesses  and constantly asking when the embassies will open are two absolutely different things. 

 

guesses don’t change the reality and neither does asking the same question. But sharing some positive insight will help everyone. 
 

All of us have one common thing here. We currently are dealing with a lot of uncertainty. As someone in the medical field, this pandemic is rough and there’s so much inconsistency with symptoms in regards to this virus. So to share positive information and positive news ultimately helps us all Instead of jumping to negative conclusions.

I second your sentiment 💯. It helps to be positive right now cause too much negativity and stress with the uncertainty and COVID impact. Also positivity helps. So let's be positive and optimistic about July 15. At least it is a date which is being given whereas in the past no dates at all. Can't wait for my fiance to join me. We had plans already. She could have been here in April 😪. Anyway now we are optimistic we will be together in 2020 and were just joking today about it saying we will celebrate all the missed birthdays and our anniversary which is coming up 😪 when she comes. Hope keep one going where in the absence you can literally go crazy

I found this petition on Facebook for the Embassies to open for visa services. I know the State Department said they would advise Embassies to begin Phased Openings on July 15th but thought maybe it would be a good idea never the less just in case they make us wait months and months more.

Cambodian embassy just updated their status stating they will re-open for F,M, AND J visas on july 15th so hopefully other categories will come soon after!
