ordering food on line

grocery store delivery

the right to complain about bad service

dressing rooms in stores

Jug handles (well at least in New Jersey)

volunteering for just about anything

and thin sliced chicken breasts....

California weather, beaches with palm trees, diversity, international cuisine everywhere (supermarkets and restaurants), all national parks, polite people.

I love reading these! 

I think they are subjective based on what country they are coming from, but for my spouse:
 

• Friendly people (We live in the Midwest). 
• Opportunity for job advancement based only on skills/experience
• The variety of food options for breakfast and lunch - Dutch breakfast/lunch is typically a piece of bread with toppings.  Scrambled eggs just flabbergasted him, lol.

As the immigrant...

 

• The weather (SUNSHINE!)

• Having an insinkorator (I guess that's the brand name - the thing that stops the sink getting blocked!)

• Burritos

• The healthcare system (this may sound weird, as I came from England, where our healthcare is free - however, I needed surgery on my hand, which they wouldn't do on the NHS, as I still had some ability to move it...I had it operated on a week ago, only had to pay $350 towards it and I'm already experiencing better movement and I'm nowhere near healed yet).

• Homeboys pineapple salsa and tortilla chips 

• The mountains and palm trees (LA is actually pretty beautiful)

• Disneyland 😍

• Amazon Prime

• Drunk Histories (I think it's on Hulu)

• Our new air fryer 🙃

• My husband, more and more everyday.

Sometimes the guy hands me a box and says as many as I can get in it for a $1. I have done 18. Fritters, iced with sprinkles....ahhh.

Hmmm... he's from Algeria, where their national language is Algebra.

He will most enjoy being able to converse fluently with so many engineers here.

Yes, that's another thing my wife loves about the United States: customer service. It's usually very good, and when it's not, your complaints are almost always acknowledged and addressed.

Mrs. T-B. has learned to love the idea of ordering even more stuff (like furniture) when delivery on the first batch is already arranged and there's no extra delivery fee.
