My fiancée got the visa approved, but expired before coming to the US, now he has a new interview for a renew visa, but his antidoping came out positive for marihuana

If his first medical report was fine (when he got approve the first time) what can happened now that he need to renew the visa and medical repost this time came out positive in antidoping.

HELP! What is gonna happen, his interview is in four days.

I would imagine the most recent medical will be the one that carries the weight. But you won’t know until the interview

In that case, do you now what happens if it came out positive?

i've heard AP for one year if it's positive, and then they test you again. But every situation is unique.

He will spend another year in Mexico, retest, and if negative then come to the USA

You might have to consider re-locating to Mexico for the next year or so.......many people don't realize just how serious drug use is to US immigration officials.

of course, intent doesn’t change the outcome which yes, is likely to be another year at home staying clean.

He’s already been through the medical once. He knew EXACTLY what the medical is for, what will cause a denial, etc. I’d have cut him some slack if he was rejected on his first medical because of weed, but the second one? Nah. He was well aware of all the attention paid to substance abuse.

We didn’t know they were gonna ask for a med again, they told us literally a day before.

Yep, He didn’t know he had to do a new medical test, they just told him a day before he had to go to the consulate, because they literally call him three days before to fly to Cd. Juarez for an open interview.

Well see, his interview is this Monday at 7am. We are so nervous to don’t know what is going to happen.

Well nobody can be certain, the norm would be an extra year plus regular testing, depends on the Doctor's report.
