From what I've seen on the forums though, NVC don't always tend to say the same things across the board and logic doesn't seem to be their strong point.

I'm sure we can use the regular I-864, but my question was about why the NVC have told people not to use the EZ, especially since LilyJ said it was people who did actually qualify for the EZ that have been told this

I qualified for the EZ as well but I chose to use the regular form. As you stated, NVC could find a reason for us not being able to use the EZ.

 

Haven't heard back from them yet. Really hoping they approve all our documents 🙏

• The petitioner or joint sponsor’s most recent federal income tax returns (if you are listed as a dependent)
• A signed, written statement describing the relationship.

Once the household member has been added to your case (this could take up to one hour to display), please upload the household member’s supporting documents, such as tax forms or W-2 forms, and submit the documents for review.

I'm curious about this as well. My mother is sponsoring with me so I'm wondering what my father therefore needs to provide?

Usually they are very vague, just “you do not qualify to use I864EZ, please replace with I864”, even though the person qualified under everything in the EZ checklist. It’s very strange

Hello, please after uploading and submitting all documents, it states SUBMITTED both in front of the Civil documents and the A.O.S documents... i checked our case and it still says this. Is anything wrong, or i shouldn't worry. THANKS

@Duke & Marie @Clayera Wanted to keep you in the loop.... just got off the phone with NVC (2.5 hour wait time). The agent I spoke with said he couldn't see a reason that our police certificate (he said correct issuing authority and correct check) was rejected and sent it over for supervisor review. I'm not hopeful, but it's something and we've ordered a "complete disclosure" to take place of the "standard disclosure" just in case.

Someone just told me they got DQ using fingerprint & name check certificate.. consulate says is preferred but not required full disclosure is acceptable.

 

others have shown me their standard disclosure as accepted dq. Which is kind of a joke because it’s meant to be full..

We met all the requirements to use the EZ, but were asked to resubmit using 1-864, the reason given was loosely based around tax returns. We included 2018, but not 17&16 as my husband was living overseas with me during this period. The information we submitted on both forms was exactly the same, and cost us 9 weeks of additional waiting.
