Filed with the TX lockbox yesterday, fingers crossed that we can get NOA2 by the end of the year...

I got filed to Nebraska, which I was expecting, but still :(. However, I did get an IOE receipt number even though we filed via mail. Is that standard now? Or did others receive a different code on their receipt?

All I130 petitions are IOE petitions as of around July 2019

Are they any faster at processing than they were prior to this change?

Nope, unfortunately it’s the same, IOE hasn’t been any faster so far. Nebraska is still working on January-February 2019. They’ve just transferred a lot of I130s from Feb 2019 though so maybe it’ll cut off a month or two, but that’s from the transfers not the IOE. So far IOE hasn’t shown to make Potomac or Texas any significantly faster either; I think Potomac has actually slowed down. When I filed a year ago Potomac was taking 4 months, now they’re taking around 6-7

Filed online on January 11, and the NOA1 showed up online January 14. We were assigned to Texas. Buckling down for the (hopefully not so long) wait.

I filed by mail too! How many days did it take for you to find out your IOE and service center? Also, were you told via mail or email?

I got a text message with a receipt number on Jan 10 and then the letter in the mail with the service center on the 14th. Priority date is Jan 6.

Submit a G-1145 with a petition and you can get electronic notification of acceptance.
