Brilliant. Have the taxpayers pay off her six figure student loans so she won't have to use any of her lawyerly six figure income (or more) to pay off her own debt.

It's interesting to me that Democrats don't champion tax payers paying for plumber school, or electrician school. But they love using taxpayer money to pay for their rich friends. It's no wonder traditional democrats are abandoning the party at record levels.

Deleted..........I'd rather have a colonoscopy than watch the current Democrat panderers debate.....

Very few people I have talked to IRL support having student loan debts payed off this way. Reform is one thing. If we can lower the cost of some schools great. Forgiving existing debt? I don't think it will fly.

I hope you're right, but major Democratic candidates seem to think otherwise.

the ones who are in big firms do pretty well for themselves over there.

Sure. There's always somebody who will beat the average. I'm speaking of expected average income. I don't think you really understand how well you have it.

Yeah, but you think I have it made, as we've discussed before. You think that I'm insulated from everything. But I know how tenuous it can all be. My fiance was a high flyer, big flat in Knightsbridge, fancy holidays, everything. He took a big gamble by quitting his cushy job to fund a startup. He lost it all -- flat, money, wife, daughter. One thing he didn't have to worry about was paying his student loans.

We're all gathered around a laptop watching. Even with the tinny speakers I could tell he sounded tired.

True. She's in family law, which isn't the most lucrative field normally but she moved to a Beverly Hills practice recently so there are more high net worth clients. She should have everything paid off pretty soon at this rate.

You are crazy... Family lawn is very lucrative. When I fought for custody of my two older kids I ended up paying $15k overall and I had a easy case relatively.
