Debate is tonight! I'll be at work until 6 though so I'll probably miss the first half. I'm looking forward to seeing Biden and Warren onstage together.

Hoping we have a good debate on Reparations.

I'm hoping we can hear some new ideas on student loan reform. I was lucky enough to have my entire loan debt paid off for me, but it's something that many of my friends still have to deal with. One of my best friends is an attorney and her law school debt is astounding. She's paid down a lot, but it was six figures. It's so depressing.

At least she  is in a position to contribute more so those following behind her are not put in this financial position.

True. She's in family law, which isn't the most lucrative field normally but she moved to a Beverly Hills practice recently so there are more high net worth clients. She should have everything paid off pretty soon at this rate.

Brilliant. Have the taxpayers pay off her six figure student loans so she won't have to use any of her lawyerly six figure income (or more) to pay off her own debt.

It's interesting to me that Democrats don't champion tax payers paying for plumber school, or electrician school. But they love using taxpayer money to pay for their rich friends. It's no wonder traditional democrats are abandoning the party at record levels.

Pretty sure YOUR debt for university was low, Boris, given that you are from the UK. I know my ex paid almost nothing to go to university; I had significant debt when I graduated.

So you get to enjoy the fruits of socialism and we have to enjoy the pain of capitalism in our higher education?

Ask your lawyer friend what the expected income for a lawyer is in one of these "socialist" countries is. Ask them if they would trade their American income. I'll wait.

I think she's in a hearing still but I will ask her. But my understanding is that the ones who are in big firms do pretty well for themselves over there.
