I am transfixed by her GLEAM.

 

I'd love to see her in a Cabinet position. I like her conviction and experience.

I don't think she's "cooked" enough to be President, but I think it's no fluke she's up there tonight. She has more right to be up there than Beto, in my opinion. Give her another 4-8 years and I think she could be a very serious contender.

Funny that Kamala is talking about Assault Weapons on the street but you don't see people from Boyle Heights, Sylmar, or South Central use their firearms everyday, and they have real fully automatic weapons.

Well, she's younger* than me, so I tend to think she's a whippersnapper. If I knew she would have an outstanding suite of advisors around her, maybe.

Kamala -- I bet she is FUN to get trashed with on a girls' night in. I can see the two of us in our silk jim-jams and floaty peignoirs, drinking margaritas and watching a selection of terrible rom-coms from the late 90s/early 00s. I bet she tells dirty jokes. It would be kind of awesome. And although I was originally Team Kamala, I am not any longer. I still like her a lot, but she doesn't have my vote.

 

Again what I said about Beto -- he's one of a type, a type I am familiar with. Sufficient family money to let him coast along on being mediocre but saying the "right things." Twenty years ago I probably would have bought his malarkey but now I am old (not too old, mind you, still no wrinkles) to be that much of a fool. But if we were doing F/M/K with candidates, he'd still be my F, I'm sorry to say. :cry:Warren would be my M (I'm sure she's an amazing cook) and my K would be Biden.

Tulsi deserves to be elected purely because she has redeemed the wearing of white pantsuits by presidential candidates.

She keeps winning debates (q.v. Drudge) but never increases her polling numbers.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
