Hey all,

Had the interview today. It felt like it went okay but we weren't told if there was a decision made or not at the end. My wife missed one question that was asking for info about me but I don't think it was a big deal (she honestly just forgot!).

The thing that REALLY bothered me was that we submitted quite a bit of evidence with the original packet. Join bank account statement, two separate joint credit cards, joint tax return, and 15 or so photos of us. During the interview the lady asked if we had more proof and said something like "because you didn't submit very much"...

Apparently she only looked at the first pages of the bank statements and credit cards (the mail to: section only had my name) you had to look further through the statements to see that they were joint accounts. She thought they were just accounts in my  name. This really bothered me that someone who's job it is to review these documents could miss that all of these were joint accounts...

I really wish I didn't have anything to worry about but it seems like most people that are approved are told at the end of the interview.

We weren’t approved on the spot either When we were interviewed Nov 13 (Detroit).  She didn’t even look at the proof I provided.  I explained what I was giving her as I handed it to her piece by piece and I explained a few things. Then she asked if there was anything else we wanted to provide so she could make a decision.   Very vague about everything (but we think she was in training and was doing everything by the book because someone else was in room watching her and providing coaching - and she seemed nervous). So we left not knowing anything and had to wait about 9 days before status online changed to approved.  I got GC in mail Nov 29, so a little over 2 weeks after interview.   I Couldn’t even remember my step sons middle name, only knew his initial, or his birthday!!!  Probably nothing to worry about and you should hear soon.  Good luck!

please see my responses above. at this point we are just waiting to hear back whether they accept it.

Thanks Pushok, I hope we can get a similar result like you. Unfortunately our officer told us to wait 1-2 months. Probably we will get an RFE letter, but maybe he will find the medical.

Also, I think the Korean medical results are only for 6 months (done in April 2019), so I'm concerned we will have to redo. Anyway, we'll see.

Thanks for your help!

!!! I checked the site this morning and for my I-130 it says "Interview Was Completed And My Case Must Be Reviewed"... But for my I-485 it says "New Card Is Being Produced"...

I don't want to get my hopes up too soon but it seems like this is pretty common and we got approved?!

From those that got their interview is ready to be scheduled status update, did both sites show the update? In my case only the old site is showing it and we haven't received an email notification either.

I called yesterday because it’s been 90 days since I sent my RFE response which is still pending and they told me that everything is on hold until I get the answer that the RFE was received.
It is really a bummer because it means I lost 3 months of the application. They told to call again after Christmas to talk to a Tier 2 to get expedite response. My husband also wrote to out congresswoman yesterday.
Keep me updated about your new RFE. I can’t believe how different the timelines are. People is getting interviews and our cases are probably under the trash can.

Hi everyone. I’ve been just reading the posts the last few months and I thought I should share my timeline.
We are a same sex couple. I’m Canadian married to a USC. I’m on a TN status through the NAFTA visa. We filed July 23, 2019. I received my combo card in Nov 21. Just today I received a notification that we’ve been scheduled for interview. I’m in Los Angeles county. I wasn’t really expecting to get interview notice until maybe second quarter next year. So I’m a bit surprise. We are going to start gathering the documents needed for the interview now. I’m going to update when the interview is done. Good luck everyone!

Interview Was Scheduled

Good Morning, I just got the notification for the I-485 for my wife. However this hasn’t updated since since Oct-17 and we got the combo card around mid November.

And here I thought that when they give you the combo card is because it will take about a year for the green card. Sou we are good

I might be mistaking but K-1 is good for one year. You need a USCIS physician that can transcribe your existing record onto I-693.  Unfortunately, most practices will fool us by saying results are only good for 6 months or since it was not done at their clinic you will have to redo your exam and vaccines. If you search this forum you may find a reliable physician in your area.

We are waiting as well.
