I called yesterday because it’s been 90 days since I sent my RFE response which is still pending and they told me that everything is on hold until I get the answer that the RFE was received.
It is really a bummer because it means I lost 3 months of the application. They told to call again after Christmas to talk to a Tier 2 to get expedite response. My husband also wrote to out congresswoman yesterday.
Keep me updated about your new RFE. I can’t believe how different the timelines are. People is getting interviews and our cases are probably under the trash can.

what number did you call? I need to call because it has been over 60 days since they received our RFE and we havent heard anything

What do they mean until you get the answer that the RFE was received?

Until my online status change to RFE received. It still says RFE sent after 90 days. When it change it means the case is not on hold anymore. That’s what they told me yesterday.
the number I called is 800 375 5283

it seems our cases are in the same blackhole

Did you send your RFE with a tracking option? Do you know if USCIS really received your response?

Yep. With signature delivery. It arrived there and USCIS told me that is still in process to be accepted. I don’t know what is so difficult, is only my birth certificate.

This process is so cruel and stressful.  Now either looking for a sponsor or wait until January so they can base themselves of my husband current salary. So frustrating  that is always one thing after another. Okay, rant over :(

For those of you who have completed the interview, can you tell us if you were requested to sign section 13 of the I-485 DURING THE INTERVIEW?    My wife signed in Section 10 before we mailed the document, but We rec'd a Call In Letter, and we believe it is because we did not sign this section of the I-485 during the interview.

Apparently she only looked at the first pages of the bank statements and credit cards (the mail to: section only had my name) you had to look further through the statements to see that they were joint accounts. She thought they were just accounts in my  name. This really bothered me that someone who's job it is to review these documents could miss that all of these were joint accounts...

Can you tell us how you were able to get joint bank accounts prior to getting the green card?   The banks I currently have accounts with require that the foreign citizen has permanent residency before we can add them to our accounts or open a new account.  Both are online banks...Ally and Capital One.

It shouldn’t take more than 60 days. That’s why I don’t know why is taking so long. My RFE was for my BC too and we sent it too at the beggining.
HOPEFULLY we will get some news by the end of the year because is really nervrscking
