We're really hoping to get EAD & AP soon... according to VJ timeline & processing times, it should be any day now (though we had an RFIE that added 3 weeks to the process, don't know if that's factored in on VJ).

 

Anyway, good luck with the interview! How far out is it scheduled?

 

I received the interview notice today.  As I had suspected, the interview notice is asking me to go to Fresno.  It's going to be quite annoying going there, as it's a very long drive.

Wow - I'm surprised to learn that they can just reassign cases like that with no advance notice! I have to be in Fresno for work in February and it's a 5-hour drive. I live in a rural area so am use to 2-3 hour long drives but I don't know about a 5-hour drive. Hope yous isn't as long! And good luck! When is your interview date set for?

January 16th.  You are likely not going to be reassigned to Fresno, as it's going to be an even longer travel for you than me.  You could get reassigned to Sacramento or San Jose.

Yea - my designated USCIS center in SF is already 3 hours from me. So I wouldn't mind being reassigned to either if it makes things go along faster. Besides, I always just make a trip out of visits like these. I wonder what 'reasoning' or protocol they use to determine which cases get transferred.

Nothing you can do.  It’s only an estimate based on VJ’s information.   Basically a best guess based on experience and trends.   Just have to sit tight and wait unfortunately.

Yes I hear you. It feels like you are holding your breath, and very very ready to let it out, but then you have to keep holding breath.  We are in a similar boat.
