Both can go via Citizenship/Green Card lines, do not scan her passport, just scan yours.  It took us 20-25 mins from the time we left our international flight aircraft, cleared customs, re-checked our baggage, passed the security at DFW for our domestic flight (DFW to DTW).  

It took the customer officer 2 mins to take my wife's fingerprints and stamped her passport, no question asked, then told her good luck and welcome to US.

Exactly, My renewal every 5 years is paid for by my credit card as a statement credit, free global entry is great. Well, not really free, I pay 495 a year to carry the card, but last year I recovered over 7500 dollars in points, credits, and free rooms with the 4th night free, thousands of dollars using the free priority pass membership, it was insane the money I saved.

On the POE thing, I came thru LAX with my fiancee thru the foreign passport holder line with no problems, he scanned my passport, said good, global entry, your done, then went thru her packet, only took 20 min for us to get thru.

Good to know.  I was wondering about this.  I love my GE.  Husband has state DL and AP/EAD, but hasn't had AOS interview yet, so I wasn't sure if he could get one.

I believe you have to be a US citizen or an LPR in order to have Global entry. It takes more than just a state ID, so you have to wait until you have at the minimum a green card.

Yes she had her green card.     We also use Sentri so a Driver's licence had to be on file..

 

Question above references spouse, so GC on arrival, just wait for the card.

They did have separate lines for USC/LPRs and Visitors on the days of our admission. So, it kinda depends. 

Did you enter with an envelope? I didn't have any envelope and it seems new to some cbp agents. At secondary they just filled in infos and stamped the passport without any questions.

we had the envelope, CBP opened it right in front of us at Primary, did their thing, and we were done within 5 or so minutes.

Do you have to scan Global Entry at the kiosk or do you let the immigration officer do it?

I let the officer do it. I wasn't expecting to be able to use it, when he scanned my passport it came up on his computer that I had it. They don't have global entry scanners in the foreign passport line, at least at LAX they didn't, but it will show in your profile when they read or punch in the passport number.

Most of the time it is not a problem, I plan on doing it at MIA or LAX soon.

For a LPR you manually enter the 9 digit A number at the kiosk.
