right they often don't look at what you take to interview and that is why we say "front load the application"

the packet is reviewed before the interview and what is in there is  important

if they need any additional documents after interview, the embassy will instruct how and where to submit them

This is a B visa, you can't front load it.

For a B visa?  Not a thing.

Pls explain more, what do you mean by "front load the application" . How can you do that

To make life of US government officials harder but increase your chance of getting approved by providing lot of supporting docs at USCIS and NVC stage but...you cannot do that with tourist visa.

All you can do is to fill out your DS-160 with honest answers and submit it. Bring materials you think they will help to support your case to the interview and hopefully, your interviewer will read some of them.

I am quite familiar with tourist visas as many of my extended family members got visa approvals and denials for past 20+ years. My wife also got 2 visa denials (luckily, they were all non-immigrant ones). Here is our recent story: A cousin of my wife’s grandmother (we also call him grandfather) got his interviewed at HCMC: his interview only asked 2 basic questions then denied his visa. Interview took less than 1 min. The interviewer did not look at anything he brought in.

The quote above seems to make clear it's a B visa or at least some other non immigrant visa

I seem to recollect that if you are missing documents there are plenty of places around the Consulate that can supply whatever documents you need at short notice.
