We’ve recently sent in our RFE response on April 15 , well our lawyer did anyways, she told us around the 30 day mark we should receive something. I suppose it’s 30-90 bussiness  days to have our case resolved , correct me if I am wrong please. The thing here is it’s May 6 and I am a little concerned about USCIS not receiving our response because I have checked online to see if we have maybe an update that they received our RFE response and it says they received our initial request back in November 19,2018 otherwise no other update. I’ve read on some timelines where people in my country (Mexico) are receiving approvals two weeks after sending in their RFE responses. Should I call, is it to early to ask if they’ve received it ?

Case status should update to "Response to USCIS' Request for Evidence Was Received".

However thats not always going to be the case. Last year my now-husband and I got an RFE for the I-129F and it never updated to "Response to USCIS' Request for Evidence Was Received". It took 46 days to change to "Case was Approved". Its been nearly a year since we got an RFE and Case Tracker still has it sitting in the "RFE Mailed" status. But he is here. We are married. It went smoothly.

You'll be okay. Everything will work out how its suppose to. Good luck!

You can call USCIS and ask if  the agent can see the documents have been logged into your file

I had an RFE also and it updated on my account but not in the regular USCIS website. If you don’t have an account on myUSCIS.com I would create one. The most accurate info has been on there for me.

We didn't have a professional representative, we were a DIY-type operation. We sent our RFE package via USPS, first class with signature delivery requested. When USPS delivered the signed post card from USCIS, we knew that they had received our package.

USCIS is notorious for not updating case status.

They received our RFE package 4/17, updated the website to reflect they received our package 4/26, and I came home to an approval letter 5/6.  You guessed it:  website still says response to USCIS request for evidence was received.

Yeah I’ve been reading similar experiences too, hey just another question but does uscis not send like a notice or receipt that theyve  received RFE response?

I sent my package priority with signature required so I would get a notification that they received it.  Other than that they updated that they received my response on the website about a week after they actually received it and it has stayed with that same update since I received my approval letter by mail.   I never received a notification that I have been approved.

Thank you for this !! The case online said the RFE response was sent and had not updated to received. I checked the USCIS online and it was received!
