I applied for an EAD expedite ( Dates in my timeline) and I saw today on informed delivery that these 2 pieces of mail are showing up soon. ( See Images) The first one is addressed to both of us as the usual mail that comes from them, then there is the second envelope that is addressed just to my wife, and I see in the window the word Valid kinda showing up. Anyone who has received EAD remember if it came like this in this envelope? I guess I will have to wait til Monday possibly to see the letters, but I was just looking for some input, because if it is EAD my wife has a job offer on the table, and she could start Monday if the card comes today, or Tuesday if I get it Monday. I haven't told her yet, but Here is to hoping for good luck. Thanks again for everyone's help on here. I have received no updates on the MyUSCIS website, so that is why I am wondering, I just checked this morning also. I should also add the expidite request was for an outstanding 60,000.00 plus medical bill, not the job offer as she just got that last week. I didn't even mention a job offer in my expedite, so I don't want people thinking that is all it takes to get an expedite, I had some and still have serious financial issues due to medical bills, but we are getting them taken care of.

My EAD/AP combo card came in a special red and white first class USPS envelope, since the normal envelopes don't come with track and trace. Usually it's I-797's or RFE's in these envelopes.

Did her status change to 'card is being produced' at all? If so, these are probably the NOA2's for her EAD and AP

No, never changed, that's why I thought it was weird to be getting anything. Didn't know you get noa2 for the EAD and AP card. That might be what it is. Think it's too early for an RFE as the I485 probably hasn't been touched yet. I don't think it would be the card, and your right about the tracking, so doubt it's the card. If it is an RFE for the I485 I might actually welcome it, because it means they are looking at my application only 2.5 months after they received it.

Agreed.   I got a notice that I  had a letter from the IRS.  I immediately thought... oh ####

YUP!

I had forgotten I had requested tax transcripts and I saw mail from the IRS on informed delivery and I was freaking out for about 5 minutes before I remember it was ME that requested it.

@Loren Y It may be the approval letter and maybe an expedite approval letter. I vaguely remember that any card received has came in something a little more priority mail like.

I've got the approval letters like this and then the card came in a separate envelope (actually priority mail envelope red ones). I wish I had them with me to double check but I just packed everything for moving.

ok so I was able to confirm through USPS in my case : the one that says 1/2  page was the EAD approval notice, and the one that says 1/1 page was AP. It came to me on March 9th which was I believe 4 days after I received online approval. and for the card It came the week of March 18-21 (13th!!)

Correction I just found my timeline hehe

I know it is stressful waiting for the card even after receiving the approvals. I did hear it takes a bit longer these days, and without the online update it may get more stressful. I would give 10 days and maybe call to check after that just in case. And don't forget to update the SSN if your name is different on it right after getting the card- it cause us a lot of problems..

Approved Date : 2019-03-05  (approvals came on mail March 9th)
Date Card Received : 2019-03-13 (This is the date I got the card)

Yes.. it is.

The worst is when you see it coming, but for whatever reason it comes a day or two later than when the picture showed up.

I had palpitations and an ulcer waiting for my i751 extension letter, which came 2 days after it was showing on ID.

That is good news. If these are the approval letters than I guess I didn't need the expedite, or that is what caused me to get approval letters. I have not seen anything update online, so maybe the online is running behind. I will be posting as soon as the mail arrives, hopefully today, but as others have noted, most of the time it comes same day as photo, but sometimes a day or 2 later, and that is when you start sweating. Glad to see I am not the only one who thinks this. It is still a great service though, and I have no complaints with it. Most of the time it keeps me from walking to the mailbox if I just see junk mail delivered that day. And as a note we didn't change her name more to keep things easier thru the whole process, and we were both good with it, doesn't make us any less married, so don't have to go to the SS office until green card shows up to get the " Valid with work permit" removed from it.
