My petition was rejected because my check was deemed as not in good order. My 2019 looked a bit like a 2017. Bad luck. :(

No it's not rejected they just could not process it without payment and you know how Uncle Sam is he wants his money before anything else. Write out a fresh check and get it back in the mail, recheck your work before you send it in again check all the boxes this might be a good thing in disguise as you may of forgotten something. Not really a big deal  just get back up on the horse get off the floor and get back on it. You'll be a June filer now. Let this be a lesson to take your time and write clearly and concisely.

For people waiting for their NOA1 please relax USCIS has up until 30 days to send out your NOA1, things to look for to let you know your application arrived:  tracking from your carrier service i.e., USPS, FedEx, cashed check or an actual communication from USCIS. I understand the NOA1 is a big deal to you, but in comparison to what is to come it's a small fry. You must budget your stress episodes, if at the end of 30 days and you still don't know anything then you can stress a bit until then relax your NOA1 is coming. Congrats to all the new May Filers!!!!

Greetings Everyone!

I filed my I-129f form on May 21 and still no sign of NOA1. Should I be concerned?

Hi, no, i dont think you have cause for concern.  I would give it a few days...did you file form G1145 for text/email alert for notification of receipt of your package?

Hello guys! My fiance  send a K 1 package on May 10 till now we also still waiting our NOA 1.

Did they cash your check ? or did you receive any text notification?
You can also check the tracking with USPS (if you used USPS) to see if it actually arrived at USCIS

USCIS has 30 days to mail the NOA1 I believe so maybe wait a little longer and then try to call them?

Best of luck to you !

He  filled form G 1450 for charge from credit card. No text notification yet. I don't know why but  tracking system wasn't show that USCIS received package is show still in transit. But my fiance received after 2 weeks a return receipt from USPS where shows that USCIS received package on May 13. Yes we will wait till next week  if not appear we will call to USCIS. Thank you!

It can take 30 days to hear from USCIS for NOA1. Ways to check is did they receive the package - use your carriers tracking information. Did they cash your check or charge your credit card? These are all alternatives to use to answer your question.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hey Guys, so turns out I did receive my NOA1 in the mail on May 24th. I was just never texted by my mailbox that I had received some mail. They normally text me, but didn't on this occasion so I'm stoked for that.

good read

great advice

you all should know there are over 6,000,000 applications a year and no way are there that many VJ members

even USCIS timelines can't keep up

I'd like to know where that number comes from... and what it includes.  Nothing I read shows anything close to 6MM visa's going through the same system we use for K/CR visas.
