NOA1 RECEIVED MAY 8 NOW THE WAITING BEGINS 🙂

Well you have taken the first step in this long process. Take the time to visit your embassy website and look under "immigrant" visa's for their instructions. Start gathering and insuring your documents are correct. Check your passport expiration dates and if they are going to expire in 2019 or early 2020 I'd suggest that you renew.

Using standard case for your entries is much easier to read then all CAPS.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Update, got my NOA1 in the mail today at around 10:30 AM on May 24th 2019, because it was so early I suspect it was delivered yesterday on the 23rd. This is around 5-7 days after my check was deposited and I received a notification by text (May 17th 2019). I haven’t opened the envelope yet, but I will update you guys as more info is received.

Thank you! We are trying to be as patient as humanly possible and we’re feeling very optimistic about the processing times this year. We went into this preparing for the USCIS stage to take about at least 7 months not including an RFE so anything sooner will be a happy surprise for us. Browsing VisaJourney together and reading all about this process and all of its stages has helped us tremendously in staying patient, we’ve always got more things to learn and do.

Hi all! Been following this site for awhile - veryyyyyy useful for when fiance and I were preparing the i-129F.

Sent the package off on the 13th, and got my NOA1 back (Notice Date: 5/20/19).

Finally got around to creating an account here! Hopefully this site keeps me sane for the long few months ahead 🤪

I am a little surprised, it seems like we are very few to send our petitions this month , or maybe people didn't come on this specific section of VJ 🤔

I hope that I am mistaken, but I have responded to a lot of folks in the K1 forums, that haven't filled in their timelines, just asking questions for things that are easily found in the VJ Guides, or even just looking at a couple of recent threads. They seem to want information, but don't want to help make this site work. Perhaps the protracted USCIS processing times have discouraged people from getting involved. I hope that things turn around soon.

My family has one more step to complete their immigration journey. We could not have had the success that we attained had we not gotten involved in the site. We are now trying to pay back for all of the help and friendship that was extended to us during our visa journey, by sharing our experiences and knowledge of the various visa processes to people now embarking on their immigration journey.

Good luck on your immigration journey.
