All,

Yesterday we had our interview in Phoenix, AZ. We got there 30 minutes before the appointment. The security line was fast and in a few minutes we were waiting in the lobby. They called us about 15 minutes after the appointment time.

The IO was very nice and she made us feel at easy, she had our 900 pages file on her desk. After fingerprint/photo she asked us if we had any questions, I got to ask her about my hyphenated last name. Which she said that most likely it won't appear in the GC. After that she sworn us in and started checking the information submitted in the forms. She started with the sponsor spouse asking names, DOB, parents names, address, etc. and they moved to the beneficiary spouse with the same questions.

In addition, she asked about the past status that the beneficiary spouse had, such as F1/OPT and J1 visa and the number of hours worked under those visas. The next step was the standard YES/NO questions, she asked us most of them. She corrected the address for the F1-OPT from the company's headquarter to the physical location of work.

Finally, she moved on to the relationship part of the interview. She asked us to tell our "love story". We then briefly talked about how me met and started dating. She then asked only two more questions: "Our favorite part of our wedding and what are our future plans". We briefly answered those, gave her a few more photos and financial documents that we had brought in and she said that she'll be approving the application later on the day.

She also kept my EAD cards from the F1 status but told us to keep the AOS EAD to use as proof of status and right to work. Finally she explained the RoC process and said that we're done.

I believe that the entire thing took about 30 minutes. Out of curiosity, we also asked about the number of cases that she takes on in a day. Apparently she gets about 7 cases everyday and they work 10 hours day. They are encouraged to get everything done the same day.

Around 5pm on the same day we got the text saying that the card is in production.

Thank you.

I have not received mine as yet. I originally sent everything on April 23rd but the EAD/AP portion of it got sent back to my lawyer, he fixed it and sent it out to USCIS. So while the green card portion was accepted in April, the EAD wasn’t a accepted until late May. Did biometrics for the green card in June and biometrics for the EAD late October. My interview is scheduled though, just waiting for the mail so I can see the date. Did they send a RFIE to you?

My 765 still has received in May, nothing with fingerprints. I thought my “ready to be scheduled” was gonna take forever but only took couple days for it to be scheduled. Really got lucky with that one. Hope you get an update soon.

How was your interview? Did they ask for another set of medical? Or vaccination record? My interview will be this Thursday and I'm slightly getting nervous already
