Hoping someone out there cZn ease my mind on an issue.  We went to AOS interview last Wednesday (Nov 13) in Detroit.  Went very well and we have a very straightforward case so no reason to be concerned.  Case officer appeared to be new and in training as she was being observed by another case officer who was guiding her at times during the interview.  She said she would be reviewing our file and that we should hear something in 30 days. At the end of the interview  I mentioned I was hoping to be able to return to Canada for Christmas and she said that shouldn’t be a problem.  The online case status has been the same since last Thursday - interview completed and case under review.    Getting nervous because most people see their status change to approved with hours or a day or two after the interview.  Nothing in the mail as of today either.  Did anyone else experience a delay in approval?   Or receive green card in mail without online status changing first?

How was your interview? Did they ask for another set of medical? Or vaccination record? My interview will be this Thursday and I'm slightly getting nervous already

Hi @Lucky_Mimi, sorry for the delayed response. How did your interview go? We were not asked for a new medical. We only had the one that we took with us to the interview.

You'll hopefully get it in no time. Ours went from Interview schedule to We sent your card in the mail.

I have heard experience from a friend that their green card took about 6 months after the interview (it's a security thing because the spouse is Libyan) but the weird thing was that they issued the green card with the interview date (two days before their two year wedding anniversary), so now they got a conditional green card, not the permanent. Very weird!

Status just changed today advising card is being produced.   Wasn’t so much worried about getting approved but was concerned that everyone else was getting theirs so quickly!

Do whatever comes first. I placed my inquiry because of the 60 days after the rfie. They scheduled my interview shortly after.

Do you think we should send out a service request for EAD/AP?

Receipt date for a case inquiry for EAD/AP is May 7th, and our receipt date is April 18th.

We have a scheduled I-485 interview on the December 12th.

I just don't want to mess something up by hurrying the EAD/AP if we're gonna get the green card by the end of the year. 😁

If your interview is already scheduled, I would wait and just leave it alone.
