Co Sponser wants to email supporting doc to us embassy

My cosponser wants to send i 134 supporting documents directly to the us embassy. Not to me. What should i do?

Hello everyone. Needed some advice. 

 

I am the petitioner (Kely) and i am using a joint sponser for the affidivate support. The joint sponser is the beneficary's (Jose) uncle. And the joint sponser wants to email directly all the supporting documents to the us embassy in nicaragua. The joint sponser doesnt want us to see his personal information but is willing to help us with the affidivat support. I have emailed the us embassy in nicaragua about being able to email supporting documents. But they dont seem to answer my question. What should i do now? 

 

Has anyone else gone through this problem?

Doesn't work like that, documents have to be included with the packet.  

 

You might need to find a new joint sponsor.

Although it is very convenient, evidence in the form of digital format is still not accepted in the immigration process. I vaguely remember reading that it has something to do with data security and preventing breaches. 

 

Your cosponsor may be a little apprehensive with their information that they have to give you, for privacy reasons. If it is a deal breaker for them then you may have to seek another cosponsor.

You should call the embassy and confirm, if it is possible or not . if it is possible then you can write ur  case number and interview date and time.

I doubt this is possible...the I-134 is generally presented at the interview by the applicant.

Wait until your own income is such that you do not require a co=sponsor.  It is perfectly reasonable that the person does not want you to have his information.

Had this happen with my grandparents. We ended up just going with another cosponsor.

This part is always weird to me. Why somebody wants to reveal their personal documents including tax returns to cosponsor someone.

I have seen this before where the co-sponsor was someone’s supervisor at work, not a relative, and they didn’t want their SSN and their income being known to the parties. So the suggestion was that the co-sponsor put their I-134 and financial documents into an envelope, seal it, mark it “to be opened by consular iffucer only” and send it in another envelope to the beneficiary. Beneficiary then takes the sealed envelope to the embassy and hands it to the officer. For that to work the co-sponsor has to trust the beneficiary not to open the envelope. If they don’t trust them with that, why are they acting as co-sponsor?
