So it is a good news for july fillers (NSC) because They start working on our batch.

Awesome news! Mine is July 13th. Still patiently waiting.  I figured mine would take longer than k1 because ours is cr1. I need to be patient and enjoy this journey.

Where did you see that Texas in in August? There are no approved petitions from Texas on visajourney and I believe more than half of the July filers from Texas are still waiting for their NOA2. I definitely hope you're right though lol MY NOA1 is 8/3/18

FINALLY got through to NVC after a couple of days of being on hold for over an hour... NOA2 was Dec. 21st, sent to NVC on Jan. 10th, and NVC says they just received it today and I have to allow up to 8 weeks for them to put it in their system and give a case number!!! Craziness...

Agreed! Craziness indeed. How is it that USCIS sends us, the petitioner mail and we receive it in 2 days but when sent to other government agencies it takes sooo much longer!

Well I too just called NVC and they confirmed they received our file today, Friday, January 25th and that I should allow up to 8 weeks to receive my case number.

At least we’re on to the next phase. 8 weeks is nothing compared to that first 6 month or more wait! However, I’m still hoping it takes as little time as possible!

Timeline:

Texas Service Center

NOA1: July 11

NOA2: January 9

Sent to NVC: January 17

NVC Received: January 25

Case number: Pending...

July 26th pd, Nebraska.  I plan to attend or be in the vicinity when my husband interviews...I have just been lurking on this site and visa groups as we do not expect to get a NOA2 till mid April according to timelines and stats here on VJ....in the meantime just been preparing for the NVC stage..getting required docs and additional  evidence of an ongoing relationship together...the wait is torture..we figure by the end of year we should be together..

By April or May you will have your 2018 tax return. That’s what they want to see. Are you comfortably over the 125% of the federal poverty line for your household size? If it’s borderline, a joint sponsor is often recommended just in case.

I hope I met the guidelines. I’ve been out of the country so much. And I hope that my unemployment benefits will count towards it also. Previous to being unemployed the ending of the year, I was working for a law firm that paid me weekly by personal check.
