Hi everyone,

We got married on July 2nd and we are planning to send our AOS next week,

how many passport photos need to be submitted with the AOS package??

It depends on what applications you are doing
If just the I-485, then 2
Each application needs 2 passports

Thanks to everyone who answered my question, such a big help.

but, unfortunately, as of today our packet was sent back to us because we use an outdated form.

we will work hard to it now to send it back tomorrow.

I used USPS too. Yeah I attached a G-1145 to each of the applications (AOS, EAD and AP). They haven't even cashed the check yet... SO frustrating! I guess I'm just sat on someones desk waiting to be processed. I just really need the NOA because otherwise my Health Insurance will get cancelled :/

Been reading May and June aos filers seems like they got interview schedule faster... anyway yeah it depends what state you are... as far as i know Detroit is not that busy office so I might be some of those lucky ones 🤭 hoping and praying coz I really want to start to go to school

Nobody in June has gotten a date yet, unfortunately.

A quick breakdown from when I checked VJ stats a few days ago. Of course these stats may not be representative of the entire pool of applicants, but just to give some perspective.

3% of May filers have their interviews scheduled

6% of April filers have their interviews scheduled

11% of March filers have their interviews scheduled

18% of February filers have their interviews scheduled (or have had their interviews already)

About 33% of January filers have their interviews scheduled (or have had their interviews already)

There are about 80-120 applicants each month who register their timelines here on VJ. Even out of people who applied seven months ago, a minority have their interview scheduled/have had their interviews already. I would still say most of us are in for quite a bit of waiting.

Hello, just letting anyone interested know that we received email notification of acceptance of our I-485 packet late last night, Friday July 13th.  Our check was cashed earlier in the day.

It was mailed late in the day last Friday, July 6th and received in Chicago early in the morning on July 11th.

That's a standard turn-around I think?  We're happy with it in any case. :)

We received three emails each with a separate receipt number. Presumably,  the  receipt numbers are one each, for the I-485, the I-765 and the I-131.

I guess we can expect to receive the NOA next week sometime.

Anyhoo, I'll put all the info into my signature and timeline as usual.

Now, back to waiting. Cheers, all!  :)

I've applied for SSN number 1 day upon my arrival but of course it hasn't been mailed to us yet.

do I answer yes or no ?

if i answer yes but I have no number yet.

If i answer no, do i have  to click yes on question 10 ?

You have applied for one but not had it issued yet so I would check "No" :)

I don't remember what question 10 is, but if it's "Do you want us to issue you one" then check "No" as you have already applied for one. I was in the same position as you when I applied and this is what I answered at least.

Yes just the I-485 and the rest are updated but they have to send back everything.

my Fiance told me he was working on the AOS form way back December when he was bored while waiting for our NOA 2, unfortunately we forgot to double check before we send it..
