Yes, the NOA1 is really no rush. I guess the only reason it's good to receive it in the mail is because then you know for sure you can successfully get the bio appt letter, too. My biometrics appointment was within 30 days of my submitting the AOS package - I wouldn't have been thrilled if I had missed it. I guess you can reschedule, but still.

In the state of Texas you have to have your NOA1 before you can go get your license. That's why we were so jazzed about it. Otherwise, having the case # by email was totally fine with me!

You only need I-864 for affidavit to support form I-485

The I-864 should be completed before you send it in with the rest of the package.

Hello Everyone I have important question,

 

on EAD form we checked the question box if we want them to provide the SSN for me. But now I realized I need to get SSN to apply for drivers license and ID. 

 

Can I go to SSN office to get a SSN even though I checked the box on the form or will it cause confusion on my EAD?

You don’t need to check the box if you are going to the SSN Office. It’s probably faster getting your SSN card at the office and you need to get it done before your 

 I-94 expires.
