Growing a little restless here. NVC received it June 19th. Gave me the # on the 21st. Still hasn't left NVC. Anyone else on the same boat to America?

It is currently taking anywhere from 2-4 weeks for files to leave NVC after the case number is created. If your Embassy allows, why not get started on setting your interview date, completing your medical and getting all your documents ready?

I'd offer you any information I have for your Embassy but you haven't completed your profile so it's hard for me to know what Embassy.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer.

If you look at the profile others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Same here. We called last Friday and they haven't received our petition that has been approved on 18th June. Gosh it's wait , wait ,wait and more wait. Never ending process.

Yeah I call every day.  Not really expecting it until next Tuesday but you never know. The worst wait is over at least!

@Ann and Meet  since the last 5-7 days when I go to the site where you schedule

the appointment- on the left side no pop up is coming for First Available Appointment - do you have any idea??

Hey, I am sorry but I am not sure. I haven't scheduled the appointment yet still waiting for my file to leave NVC and reach embassy. It might have shown up later in filling the forum, I can't remember now.

When I checked on the status of my case with NVC, it shows the following, but what does it mean they provided an interview date? I haven't received any notification from them.

U.S. Department of State
IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION
In Transit

Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center.

I noticed some people saying that although they called NVC and obtained their case number that NVC informed them that they must wait for the email before they can pay the DS160 fee?  I'm not sure that makes sense to me.  What is the point of calling them for the number if we still have to wait to move forward?  Anyone know or did I misunderstand?

It's different for every embassy. Ukraine allows us to schedule the medical exam without the documents being at the embassy yet, all I needed was the case number.

For the DS-160 fees / interview, I am planning to wait until I see the case is at the embassy, but we did go ahead and finish the DS-160 forms online.

Hi Everyone! :)

I received an approval on 06/19 and called NVC today but was told it's not on their system yet, I've also sent them an email.

As I was reading Hank's website, It says once I get the NVC letter scan or email it to my fiance. Do they actually mail an NVC letter? What do I do if they just give me a #?

Thank you!!!

Ignore everything on the CEAC status update EXCEPT:

1) The actual status (at NVC, in Transit or Ready)

2) The dates that change beneath the status update that let you know you have movement on your case/your case has been "touched".

Everything else does NOT apply to the K1 process.

The point is so you can track your case on CEAC and can email your embassy once it's states "Ready" requesting the P3 package (which will then tell you if you are eligible to proceed with filling out the DS160).

Each embassy has it's own procedure though but I am starting to see how many are not following their procedure and the embassies are letting everyone just do it.

Wow yours is quick, based on your timeline it says it was at NVC June 22 and left June 25th? Mine was also at June 22 but status still says AT NVC
