Quick question guys, will both the beneficiary and petitioner receive a letter (NOA2)

thanks!

No just the petitioner then after the Nvc receives it then they will give you a case number usually email it. Then the beneficiary files the ds160 using the NVC case number and schedule the interview first and the medicat according to the interview date.

I'm running the scan now. I'll post the results as soon as they're ready ;)

Hi Daniel,

First of all,  thank you for doing the scans, we really appreciate it. Please forgive me if this has been asked already, are you running it against the old website or the new one?

Old one, the script was created way before the new website was on

I doubt that it would even be reasonably possible to query the new website for large numbers of WAC numbers as a login and secure one time password is required to register and review status of a WAC number.  My guess is that attempting to do so would certainly provide visibility to USCIS as to which  logins are attempting to do so and would likely be terminated.

The old site is a simple web form which does not require login and permits pasting in WAC numbers.  Basically this is how the scans and apps work, by repetitively pasting in numbers into the web form and scraping off the results.

The apps likely scrap the old website on a timely schedule and maintain their own copy of the data scrapped from USCIS.  So, when a user queries with the app, they are not necessarily seeing the latest updates to the old site.   This explains why some see updates on the old site before seeing them on the app.
