Congrats everyone. I dont come on here much but it's nice to see everyone is getting their happy ending. My fiance and i are still waiting for his interview to be scheduled. This wait is agonizing. It's been over a year since our noa1. I really wish we would at least know when he can have his interview. It's horrible waiting so long.

What seems to be delaying the interview?

I rate the photo shoot a 7/10. My review:

Cons:

I don't like the way your pants can be seen through the white shirt

Not a fan of earrings, just let it go man

The kids seem to be prepared for a role on the TV show Hawaii 5-0, the sunglasses and the sun dress

Pro:

Your wife looks fantastic, I like the hair and white dress

The "Philipino wife" shirt is corny, but you know that and don't care. Bonus points

You completely shave your head, I still keep a little left up there. I think yours is preferable, I am going to copy

Also, congrats!

The shirt is a Barong Tagalog. It is the traditional Filipino dress shirt. I am not a fan and finding one to fit me wasn’t easy. I doubt if I will need to wear one again.

The earring and shaved head are both on Rose. She wore the matching earring. I prefer hair but having done this, it is liberating. Saves a lot on shampoo too!

The kids are just just kids and it is the Philippines. It is island wear for the 90 degree day. Things are generally casual there.

There is no doubt that Rose is the good looking one of the pair!  She is amazing.

The shirt was was a gift from her sister. And yes, it is true and I love her for it!

Try the shaved head. It is really nice and I had so little hair left anyway that I felt younger after doing it.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

John I know how you feel about having to find a Barong to actually fit you  was a hard thing to find. It took us quite a while to find one that would actually fit my shoulders because I tend to more of the broad shoulders type. I have worn it exactly twice and it has since stayed put up for 5+ years now. I wore it once for a friend of mine from Afghanistan(Filipino) who got married and I was a Ninong then, and I wore it once for my civil wedding with my wife.

Pinoys can be corny like that but you know what it is one of the things that I love about my wife.

haha, congrats friend. Of course I was taking the piss.

I am very much looking forward to getting my friends in the traditional Khmer attire as my groomsmen!

Was able to find some contacts for the wedding planning through a Cambodian Buddhist temple in Brooklyn.

Beautiful couple!  It is nice to put a face to the name!  Obviously my problem had nothing to do with broad shoulders...maybe my broad shoulders kind of settled and sagged in my old age!  Filipino women are so gorgeous!  We are very lucky.

Well, it’s been 365 days since my NOA1 so I think I’ve been pretty patient 😉 I just hope this doesn’t drag on too much longer, it’s frustrating
