Not on VJ but I was told to extend the noa2 date, just send an email to the consulate stating the reason for the extension request, if you are still petitioning for your fiance, case number. I was told really its just a formality, people extend all the time coz.. Life happens. No stress. It should be easy

Just caught up on the forum. 

Nice to see everyone moving forward. I’ve been in the U.S for about a month now, and our wedding is 2 weeks away! I’m excited! My mum is flying over this week coming and friends and family a few days before the wedding.  

I’ve started the paperwork, for AOS. Will complete it this week, so I can just attach evidence and send it off shortly after the wedding.

Thank you! Depends on the day whether I laugh or cry...my fiancé thinks they will just continue to delay us with the excuse of security checks instead of just giving an RFE or refusal. I don’t even know what to think anymore...and I don’t know that eventually switching to a spousal visa will make a bit of difference. So frustrating!

On a positive note, at least Canada and the USA have recently strengthened our relationship on a political level. Maybe it’ll help speed things up with the visa?

Another year, I feel as if there’s no way it’s going to take that long. Seems absurd to even consider.

 

I bet it’s a couple months, but better for you to think 1 year so you don’t drive yourself crazy.

I would certainly hope it wouldn’t take that much longer! We’re just trying to have a rough timeline as to how much longer we’ll wait before implementing plan B...I think it’s our way of keeping sane!

Ha! It’s getting pretty quiet around here lately, no fun gossip haha! I’m still waiting unfortunately 😭 and no updates at this point...considering what plan B will be 🤷🏼‍♀️🤔😱

Hi Junies,

 

One more straggler crossing the finish line of the K1 visa process. 

 

After making POE here in Ohio on March 26th,  my fiance and I finally tied the knot yesterday, June 14th...with less than ten days left on the K1 Visa   Phew!  

 

And I finally received my SSN on May 30th, more than two months after applying for it on March 27th. No idea why it took so long.

 

You guys on this site kept me going through some really dark times and I'm very grateful for that. To anyone still waiting, hold on and keep holding on because sometimes, it really is darkest before the dawn.

My heart goes out to you, dear!  Kudos for keeping a positive outlook, you've been an inspiration to me, more than you know.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you until your Visa Journey comes to a happy end as well.
