Hi Nikk, @Itsnikk

I also will be applying from Stockholm (I am a March-filer).

https://se.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/family-based-immigration/the-interview/

They say that they send you an interview checklist, but you can also find checklists online and instructions on the US government side.

I already arranged all my police certificates (I have lived in 5 different countries, so I knew this was going to take quite some time, but the Swedish one goes actually really fast).

Here is a link where you find the instructions for documents per Country:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Sweden.html

You can also find instructions, on where to apply for which specific documents on this side and which documents they approve.

How long will it take you to schedule a medical exam and interview appointment in Stockholm? Are there long waiting times?

Would be interesting to hear how long the process will take for you :)

So keep me posted.

Best,

Anna

Hi Anna!!!not sure if you got my reply 😫😫 we got our NOA2 like 20 days ago I called the NVC yesterday for our number and they said we can't make our appointment yet not at least until we get the notification [ I think it's bs gonna try to make appointment tomorrow]  and thanks so much for the links !!! They really helped out!! from what I understood was that we need proof , police records , incomes from my part , passport and ID and can't remember what else LOL I'll keep you posted girl!! thanks again

I know, I tried very hard to get distracted with my two boys, but they are on vacations from school, so there is not much activity going on, I started selling all my stuff from my buisiness and I wish I could go to visit my parents in mexico city but have to save money, and I wish I wouldnt be so anxious but its impossible when two months ago the wait expected was less than now. Anyways lets pray and hope for soon noa2's for everyone. Im trying not to check on the website all the time. haha I will try harder not too.

Hahaha I know right?! I am making myself slow down on checking the website too, because it all can be very discouraging! Even on here sometimes, I need to step back for a few days if I can 😜😜😜

I’m a Jan 12 filer here . Someone please help me understand this . I have not heard anything so I called them last Friday . The lady was real nice and said  you’re not approved but I do have good news. She said my file had been pulled on the 18th . I said what does that mean and she said by sitting there two days that she did not see them requesting any more information. She said it was sitting there waiting on background checks . She said that I would get approved sometime this month. That was Friday  and today I called hoping that I had my approval and the new lady said there’s no action on your case and I told her the story that I was told Friday. I must say I’m very disappointed she said she had no clue how the lady could see that   And that I was welcome to call back 15 August. She also said they’re only working on 26 December and why would I think they would be working on my on 12 January. I said lady there working all away up to the 18th or 19th of January . She said well not according to my Files. So Friday I was very happy today I’m devastated can anyone explain this to me what happened .

U r still well with in normal processing time. Tbh I feel calling before u r out of normal processing time puts a flag on ur case. Then they set it off to the side and let it fester there. Go back to it when they fell ready to do so. This is my point of view with no info to back it.

Panicing now when ur so close won’t do ya any good. There working on everyone’s case. All u can do is wait and see what happens. We all filled these papers out and put our life’s in someone else’s hands.

The P3 for GUZ is only 4 line items so this is what needs to be completed or prepared.

1. DS-160 Confirmation Page

2. Copy of Passport Personal Page

3. 2 Passport style photos White Background, Well Lit, 50mm x 50mm

4. Return the P3 instructions page

#4 is what prevents people in China from getting a head start, they want the instructions page mailed back with the requested documents.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp#KVisaPetitions

U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. K visa applicants will be notified by the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview.

Soon you will need the P3 letter from your Embassy to begin gathering your documents and what is needed for the interview. I try and help folks but I don't have a Packet 3 letter that has all the requirements for your upcoming interview but what I have I will share below. Once you get in touch with your Embassy and the send you the P3 letter with all the requirements if would be so kind and share a copy with me then I can use it to help others in the future. Thanks.

@BJ & Christine is correct. Way to early to think something will be approved as movement on January cases just started not long ago. Relax and keep busy. With security checks no one can tell you with an certainty when you get an approval.
