I want to share my US visa interview experience since this website helped me a lot, especially with timelines.
I arrived around 7am, almost one hour before my appointment, and the entry line was already outside with both non-immigrant and immigrant applicants together. Around 7:30am, people started going in and immigrant visa applicants were directed to separate line.
After the security check, we went upstairs, got a number, and went to the first window where they checked all the documents. Here is important to provide all the originals and recent photo.
Then we waited in the next area for the interview using the same number.
The officer was very polite, and the questions were general, like where we met with my husband, what he does for work etc. I left the Consulate around 10am.
I received my passport and original documents back the following week.
There was no tracking number, but you can check the delivery through the EMS WeChat app using ... read complete review

The process at the consulate is very efficient. The security at the entrance verifies your appointment. Everyone was cordial, polite and professional. They do take your original documents and review them. Actual interview with the consular officer was about 10 minutes and I got my passport back the following weekend. It felt efficient yet it still felt I was questioned fairly and properly. Two thumbs up especially since a typhoon arrived that evening!

Straightforward process. There's two windows you queue for, the first one is getting your documents reviewed, the second is the interview with the consular officer. The first window person brought up a concern about our financial docs (we had a household member as supporting income) but wasn't brought up at all by the consular officer. The interview was simple, mainly focused on how we met, looked through the evidence we brought, if the petitioner had visited the beneficiary abroad. Approval on the spot.
