You're not wrong... Especially with Americans--I lived in Colorado a few months, and when I told people I was from Maine, 75% of them thought it was part of Canada. NO JOKE.

This is definitely true! We take geographical education as a given. Goodness, I’m from N.Ireland and British. Many people think im Irish and thats NOT the case technically as the Republic is a different association from the North. I’m British and the North vs South is a hugely sensitive subject in our past history . If you say in the US you’re from the UK people automatically  think you’re from London! Haha. Not many people know of troubles in N.I and there’s a difference as South of Ireland is a Republic disconnected from the United Kingdom. Nothing surprises me anymore.

As we know the US is massive and many citizens don’t even have passports, so naturally may not know much about the EU, Middle East or the rest! All a learning curve in life! I’m British with an Irish accent 🤣

Anyone  not able to sign into the new site ? I’ve requested a new “one time code” 3 Times now and nothing has come in the past 20 minutes. Is there a way I can disable the code?

I had to sign up for a new account. I swear I signed up once before, but none of that stuff worked.

HI,

Thanks. Do you have any ideaa how are they processing caases of 11/20 in between ?

Also, how do you scan the dates ? Is there a link on USCIS where you can check out ?

Thanks !

There is no rational order to how they process cases, basically when you send your stuff in, it gets filed away into boxes. All of those boxes get piled up somewhere, and then someone grabs a box and takes it to their desk to start working.

Ideally they would get into the 21st century with computer aid that would help with organizing a process to it all, but the government typically avoids the efficiency you see in private companies.

We scan the dates by putting in a case number here: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

They same thing you can do, or that phone apps do in batches of 500.

This is such a good point. Not to blame-shift (because as an adult with resources and self-awareness, there is really no excuse) but in school in the U.S. we primarily learn only US History and Geography. Even (especially) the news is so self-centered.

I'm always astounded and wide-eyed watching the news when I'm in Greece. Its pure information, and it's like "wow, look at what is going on all over the world!" You have to really filter through all the garbage to get to it, here.

Only 2 more updates since last evenings scan:

A strange thing about the 11/14 case, It was previous in the 'Case Received' status, and it looks like the original Request for Evidence was "silent".

It  also had a case number more in line with 11/21 cases, but for some reason had a 11/14 received date too, weird.

So perhaps there have been additional changes to more cases that are silent on the old website, there is no way to know how many though.

Receive Date Status Date
11/10/17 Your Current Status: Name Was Updated 05/05/18
11/14/17 Your Current Status: Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received 05/04/18

Let's see how Monday goes, everyone enjoy your weekend!

Ok so... super happy for the November approvals (really hoping they start hitting October harder), but is anyone else thinking USCIS has lost their minds? Where is the 1-15 of November?? This is the strangest start to a month I've seen since I've been here.

Im thinking that too its some complete bull. We filled in late October / and really are a cross over between end of October / beginning of November. Given that USCIS is funded almost entirely by fee payers they really need to get their act in order.

How they can go from October filers straight to approving mid Nov 16,17,20,22 filers is beyond me. im very happy for those who did get approved in November. we are just waiting patiently and in the mean time running scans almost hourly during Cali time. Good luck to all.

Idk if it’s related or not but our package was so thin, even our proof of meetings only consisted of 6 photographs, passport poe stamps, copy of 2 tourist attraction tickets, and copy of plane tickets. My fiance didn’t even send his birth certificate, only copy of his passport. I thought we will have rfe because of that.

Again I feel so sorry for early filers, Id be offended too if I were you.

Don’t lose hope, maybe yours are silent NoA2. Just wait!!
