I THINK I OFFICIALLY JUST CRACKED.

221 days since NOA1 (April 11), no RFE, no NOA2, countless calls being told that it's being worked on, to wait and they now update the tracker saying they're working on SEPTEMBER CASES AND ONWARDS.

image.png.d70ce481b0d3e9f17fbb603aa59b62ec.png

Then what the holy #### happened to my case? I'm crying, I've lost it. I was meant to be moving there this time of year, getting married by Christmas.

I really can't even imagine what you guys are going through and I feel so sorry for you both. We've had a few set backs, however that you're still waiting for the NOA2 and literally not knowing after all this time must be excruciating. I understand your fiancee is worried to make a congressional, however I do not think it's gonna affect you badly in any way. There's other people that's done it and been approved. I'm not sure if you know but you can also submit an enquiry on your USCIS profile. They will have to get back to you with something within 14 days. The tier 2 lady did that for us over the phone and we got our NOA2 like 10 days after. I'm not sure if it was related but it seemed like it. xx

I feel you... I've done all I know to do at this point.  My senator's office has followed our case since 2015, I've done 2 case inquires, and I've emailed the Service Center Operations unit with no response.

The case inquiries are responded to by saying that we're in an "extended review" but will not give any reason or justification.

:( I can't imagine what you must be going through. I'm praying that you'll get there very soon.

Hi everyone, thank you for such an amazing thread. My visa interview is scheduled for 4th December, all November dates were booked as at the time of my scheduling, the wait is too long but I have no option but to be patient.  I am really looking forward to an approval, I cant wait to be with my fiance, nothing will give me joy more than that. Someone kindly highlight any interview tips.

Hope everyone is having a great and blessed day so far. I got my NO2 on October 18 and still today i am waiting on the NVC case number. Calling them everyday since after day 12. They keep on saying they are yet to receive my package from USCIS. This is so frustrating. after waiting for so long to get approve, i am again waiting for the part that is supposed to be speeding a little. I don't know if i should just give USCIS a call to see what the hold up is. Thank you for letting me rant.

@Dorice same here. NOA2 Oct 18th and still no number from NVC. My fiance called USCIS this morning and they said they are "usually" sending Package to NVC on the same date when sending hard copy of NOA2 to petitioner. So... I don't know who is lying...

I have a question, I ( beneficiary) did my best and renewed my passport, the old one will remain with me. I am at stage of " waiting for NVC number".  And my question is should I fill DS-160 with my new passport number and notify Consulate for the renewal or should I first notify them and then prepare Packet 3?

That may be a better question for the regional forum for Canada. Each Embassy seems to have its own quirks and ways it wants to do things.

Hi guys,

I haven't posted here in a while but a quick recap. My NOA2 was approved August 21, 2017 but then things just went down hill. My petition was sent to the NRC instead of the NVC and for 2 months I went back and forth with USCIS and NVC and neither one was willing to help and even show any compassion. Finally got my congresswoman involved and she helped find my case, provide a new approved NOA2 (with a new date) and expedited it to the NVC within a week and a half. I called the NVC yesterday and was given my visa case number and the status shows "At NVC". However, when I had asked the rep what next steps are, she said my paper work was going through 'additional processing". I know the dreaded phrase is "administrative processing" but didn't know if it was the same thing.... Can anyone provide any insight on this please and roughly how long it will take till the petition is sent to embassy? Thank you in advance.

What the heck is NRC? National Review Center? Never heard of it.

Sorry they are putting you through this.

Admin processing is normally at the US Embassy stage AFTER the interview.

Keep checking the CEAC website every few days

NRC is the National Record Center, its where files get archived.
