@Mike & Tuyen and @Keith & Monica  POE Countdown  11 and 10 days respectively :D  So happy for your POE just around the corner.

@spike198  FLL is a good POE   It's my home airport and I've always found them to be very professional.  So happy u have a date and something solid to look forward to.

.........................

We've been so busy since POE.  We did the SSN - the guy at SSA totally understood why we needed the SSN and blurted out his explanation of why it was necessary to get it now.  Very technical and I just said 'yeah...... right!' lol  Waiting for it in the mail now.   Went to the courthouse and got our marriage license today.  Ann has a K1 visa in her passport that shows I'm hers, and I got the receipt from the courthouse today likewise! :D  Wedding is next Saturday.  The other day we picked out the spot for our wedding on the beach.  Found a patch of sand with some palm trees to decorate and make the perfect spot to do the ceremony.  Just a bit up the beach is Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville Resort.  Since we are doing the ceremony at sunrise, we setup a breakfast reception.  I have family flying in and friends joining us; and for our family on the other side of the world, we are going to fb live it for them.  So for a POE that is just hours from being a week old, we've made some really good progress :D

His layover is only 2 hours and 10 minutes.  At first I felt comfortable with that (I've taken this flight many times from Jamaica and had plenty of time to spare after going through C&I) but after reading some VJ reviews I'm a little nervous.  Seems like 50/50... Either its super quick with no issues or it's the exact opposite where they sit for hours waiting to get through.  I guess time will tell!

On a different note, so excited for all of your plans.  Breakfast reception sounds amazing.  Can't wait to see pictures!

we are still waiting for NOA2, USCIS received our RFE last Sept. 22, 2017. been over a month

Hi your consulate says Manila but your profile shows Singapore so is your beneficiary a Singaporean who will process out of Manila or a Filipino working and living in Singapore?

What was the RFE for? That seems a bit long for a response.

Did you confirm with Tier 2 USCIS that response was received?

Hang in there

That is insane and certainly hot a high fraud country.

They are over 200 days now

@Melodica256 has congressional intervention been requested?

Hello I have a question

My interview  is next month and I am kinda worried about the affidavit of support i-134 .

My GF and I lived together in Korea for the last 2 years before she goes to US so the tax will show she made 0$,

But this October she stared a new Job at the government and she is above the poverty line . so my question is 2 or 3 pay stubs will.be enough or do we need to get a co-sponsor?

Thanks

I called NVC yesterday. 10-4-17 and was told our case was received that day but not yet assigned a case number. I called back after work tonight, 10-5-17 and was told we have a case number but he could not give me any details. Long story short, the USCIS entered my last name as only "V".  #######. The NVC officer i spoke to was super helpful and pulled some strings to give me the case number and invoice number.

Kudo's to the NVC

Visa was approved in HCMC today. I will fly back there on 11-16 to help her finalize a few things, then her and I will fly back to Kauai for her first Thanksgiving. I just got back on 10-27. Racking up the frequent flier miles on Korean Air.

That is so wonderful.  Very happy for the two you.

Hi I am the beneficiary, a Filipino working and living in Singapore

The RFE was for the Letter of Intent to Marry, as it was his signature in what supposedly is my Letter of Intent to Marry. So We had to redo the letter, have my signature on it, notarize it as well as some other pictures of proof that he proposed to me and met my family here in Singapore.

Yes, our lawyer called USCIS, spoke to Tier 2 regarding this and confirmed they received and working on the case again. I have attached a photo of the e-mail here.

Anyway, USCIS sent us a duplicate of the first (original) RFE -- because of an inquiry made by the lawyer -- at about the same time they receieved our response for the first (original) RFE (Sept. 22) . So in the USCIS website, our status says that they mailed the RFE, which is actualy the duplicate. We told USCIS about this and they said that we do not need to resend the response because they got it in their system and an officer is working on it.

Thing is, it's been over a month and we still have not heard anything. We called USCIS last Oct.27 and advised us to call again on the 15th because the officer is working on cases as of April 1, 2017. Which I find strange because ours is just RFE response, it's not like we are waiting for NOA1.

Any thoughts about it?

Hello everyone

So happy to see everyones approvals, I'm going to pick up my passport today!

Just wondering we arrive in the US November 20th and we plan on getting married December 15th, once we are married I'm aware that you have to fill out I-1485 - application to adjust status and that are concurrently able to file your I-1765 Application for Employment Authorization (EAD) and I-131 Application for Travel Document (AP) at no additional cost.

How long does this process usually take? I bought a return flight ticket as it was strangely cheaper and I booked the return ticket for end of march thinking it would be nice to see my family before I started working etc.

Do you think this is too soon?

Thanks in advance everyone :) x

I have a quick question... it might only apply to U.K. filers but probably just needs a bit of common sense lol.

Can I fold the big envelope that is for POE that says 'do not open'?

I cant fit it into my bag otherwise it's that big! And I'm not holding it the entire journey incase I end up putting it down and walking off my mistake haha

Currently I would say yes, that's too soon. If you can move the flight it might be better to be looking at April/May to be safe. Looks like it's taking 5-6 months.

I had the same idea actually, but then decided I would forever have that 'one spare flight' because I would always need to book 2 way flights for it to be cheap enough. So in the end just opted for the cheapest date for the return which happened to be January.

Hope this helps!
