Hey Guys,

I've been a little quiet since i had my medical in London last Thursday. They needed more information regarding my depression back in 2012 and my heart murmur. I have been a nervous wreck since Thursday literally had my heart in my stomach. I had a doctors appointment today to get the information London needed and i can say i walked out a whole new woman, the weight that was lifted of my shoulders was unreal. It turns out a doctor had made an error writing down my diagnosis putting it as a heart murmur when in actual fact its a arrhythmia, very common and nothing to worry about. I also got the magic words put on the email 'she is not a danger to herself or anyone else'. I'm waiting for a phone call from my doctors to let me know they have sent the email and then I'm going to call Knightsbridge to check they have received it and find out what the next steps are. I'm hoping it's very straight forward from there so i can go the my interview and not have the additional stress that my medical isn't finalised.

I can not wait to be sat on that plane with this part of the process a distant memory. I have been through every emotion possible on this journey and will be glad to have a small break before starting the next part. :dead:

That's great news!  I'm glad that your doctor was able to sort everything out for you quickly and that you got the magic words :)  Now just 1 week until your interview!

Same for us! We lived together in her country for almost seven years, and it about killed me to leave her to start getting us set up in the USA in January. Her moving up here, and us living together (married!) always seemed so far away. But here we are, planning our November wedding and getting our little apartment sorted out for her arrival. It's darn surreal! If it's a dream, never wake me!

Wow, that must have been hard separating after living together for so long.  I'm glad that the two of you will be together soon!  And I agree, 100%, if this is a dream, I never want to wake up from this one.  :D

That's the problem, we'll only have 2.5 hours between the flights.

What time is your flight due into JFK and on what day of the week?

I'm from NYC and can tell you depending on how early (or late) your flying into JFK, can really depend on you making the connection.

Drive time from one airport to the other is ROUGHLY 45 - 1 hour, and that's with moderate NYC traffic (the Van Wyck which is the highway off of JFK is brutal which leads to the Grand Central Pkwy which is a little better). Keyword is moderate, in NYC traffic is a normal way of life there. (One of the many reason why I don't live there anymore just go to visit my family).

The issue you may have is how many international flights are coming into JFK at the same time as yours.

Hmmmm....so right at the start of rush hour and it the weekend.

Well, if you can get out of JFK a hour before your connection's departure you should be okay, but I wouldn't recommend taking a shuttle. You're gonna need a straight ride there to fight off traffic.

Yeah, obviously not the best time...

Thank you for the info, apparently we made a mistake when Eric booked a shuttle without researching other options.

Well, typically, if the shuttle company is made aware that you have a connection to make they usually make sure that they put you on shuttle where it doesn't wait or make a lot of stops. In NYC, I know from experience that they do this as it is common for this to happen there. So, just make sure to share with them that you need to make your connection and what time and they should accommodate you.

Really, if you guys clear customs quick in JFK, you should be fine. JFK does take it a majority of foreigners, however, you and your fiance can go in the same line together just let them know that you guys are traveling together with his K1 visa. That should help with not having to wait for each while the other is still in line.

Good luck!!!!

Ugh....I am having the worst time with my bank. I have been trying to get the supporting paperwork for the I 134 but cannot get the bank to put the amount I have deposited in the last year. Did anyone else have any issues?
