Yes, It seems that they have fixed the bug. Looking at the all the processing times at different Service Centers, Calif. is leading the pack, and it looks to me that they are putting more effort in processing immediate relatives first (VSC is the same but there has always been a backlog there). I don't know why the other Service Centers do not follow Calif.'s model in prioritizing IR petitions.

I filed my taxes as single head of HH due to my husband not here yet. I talked with my lawyer who stated to file this way since my husband has not arrived in the states. He does not have a social or anything to verify as my spouse. Will file married next year. Prayerful he will be here this year. This waiting game is really tough.! :(

I'm guessing you quality for HH, I think a lot of people don't and have to file, married filing separately

I have an I-130 petition for an alien relative of a USC. I called USCIS and explained that my case needed to be expedited due to severe financial loss. They will ask you to explain your reason over the phone and then if the request is approved ; they will email you within 5-10 days.

What exactly did you say for the reason? You can send me a personal message if you don't want to share it here. I've been waiting for 5.5 months already and I really need my wife here.

Is anyone here with PD of August 9 that has been approved or still waiting/pending?

I haven’t see any of August 9 get approve as yet, you should be getting approve sooner. Next week should be approving a lot of cases since it’s the end of the month going into March.

I saw your last message saying that your argument was on severe financial loss.. what exactly did you tell them? Because I'm thinking to do that if I get a job offer.

I am a student and I work part time. In order for my husband to live with me we have to live off campus. I told them in order to establish a residence with my husband , I would have to live off campus apartment is not covered under my scholarships. So it would be an out of pocket expense for my husband and I. I make enough to cover about 80 % of the rent but the rest would be covered by my husband. The apartment is giving me until July 31st to back out of my lease without penalty. If I do no tell them before the cut off date they will charge me the full year  Which will be around $7,000 dollars Which is an income loss of more than 75%. I provided them with a letter from my apartment and a statement from my school with what my scholarships cover.
