What do you mean the immigrant doesn't see the result? I got all the medical paperwork back at the poe, both mine and my son's. And not just copies because our original pictures are on the papers. And those documents lists exactly what was done and the results on blood work etc..

You did? That's unusual. These days, medicals are not given back at POE, they are in the sealed envelope...

Yes they are in the sealed envelope. And when they opened it at POE they pulled out the medical papers and handed them to me...

Yes they are. Think about it, all the forms that have been filed out. The pass port info and Birth certificates. They will not match up and the embassy will call the petitioner and ask if they are aware.

It's happened before. Did they keep the rest of the package? You are most likely going to have to redo the medical.

I did not have to redo the medical and neither did my son. Yes they kept most of the other stuff in the envelope

So? Unless you look at their passport you wont know. Im not even sure their genetic gender matters for a passport or visa?

It's no ones fault but your own of you're unaware of your spouse's or potential spouse's genetic or identifying gender, if it matters. I dont care about culture or religion on this either. It's the 21st century where you can be any gender or sexuality you choose. This should not be an issue for an immigration medical.

There is much more to this then that and has nothing to do with being the 21st century or what gender ppl choose to be.

Beside the guy pretending to be a women or the other way around. Yes it happens and it's not only due to the old rule or whatever about not allowing gay marriages.

Ppl try to take kids who are not their own but try to pass them off as they are. So instead of the daughter they lost they have a cousins boy the same age they try to sneak in.

There are many different situations and I seem to recall one on here years ago.

My kids and I were checked very briefly at our medical. They even questioned my daughters scar from her appendix surgery as it wasn't a normal scar.

It's safe to say the answer to the original question is maybe. Plan for it, but be happy if they don't.

Especially since it would be able to catch any of such cases not just the ones where someone might want to pass a boy for a girl and vice versa.

I believe our point (mine at least) was rather that that's probably not the reason they're checking (as it really would catch only a fraction of, what I am sure, is not a huge number of cases to begin with comparatively speaking--talking about passing off other people's kids as one's own).

A person with 'ambiguous genitalia' would probably have to discuss this with the civil surgeon at the time and bring along at least some sort of medical documentation from their GP. Doesn't seem like anything that would be grounds for denial.
