Visa Denied because I am ugly???

Yes, it is a google translation as I said I got it from Skype. I do speak Russian, but I do not have a Russian keyboard. Of course, I could use it in the translation, but it would take me forever. I am in the US right now. I was confused at first and asked her - so you were denied because you did not have your documents. She said no, she had all her necessary documents, but the guy didn't take them. He asked the same question over and over but in a different way. Then she said she spoke to people outside and they said she can be interviewed again in 14 days. This is where I knew something wasn't right. I have read many things in here on my journey, but wanted to wait to post anything because I was so stressed out in getting all these documents to her and now I am being lied to about something. I just don't know what. I posted this soon after I saw the translation just to see if anyone has ever heard such nonsense. As people have said:

1. It isn't the reason. I have never been given what I would feel be a proper reason.

2. is this a total lie or a lot of exaggeration? I ask about exaggeration because she may be scared to tell me something. I spent a lot of time with her and I am surprised a lie would just burst out.

3. She said she didn't receive any papers and just her passport. Does everyone receive papers?

I worked on this process for a very long time to make sure all the paperwork was complete and accurate. I had no issue with the USCIS and no request for evidence.

As far as I remember reading on the embassy website, they always give a paper after an interview in any kind of visas. Even when I applied B-2 visa a few years back they gave me a yellow paper stated why they denied mine. I tend to agree some other poster here that probably the refusal because she's not very good in English and made the CO suspicious that your relationship with her is just a fraud.

Wow, some of you people are just downright mean and nasty. It's pretty obvious he's not making this up. Back off!

OP, Is there any way you can be there for the next interview? That may help your case. Also, have you talked this part over with an attorney? Maybe at this point an attorney could help you. So sorry you're going through this!

When I try to get the number for the Vermont Center, I keep getting the National Customer Service for USCIS. I am trying to find the KEV as you suggested.

I speak Russian...

I think your girl isn't mentioning something, maybe some tiny detail that for a CO matters but she didn't think anything of it. You need to get her to provide a very, very detailed account of the interview.

I never mentioned Vermont.

I mentioned NVC, the National Visa Center.

You're calling the wrong people, Darnell is telling you to call the NVC (a State Department entity) to obtain the case number if you don't already have it. The first 3 letters of the case number would start with KEV. Once you have that number, he is then telling you to call the State Department's visa hotline and ask for a case status using that case number from the NVC.

In Kiev embassy Ukraine. My fiance said her visa was denied because I was ugly and she was too pretty to love me. This is quoted by an American officer - Is this not sexual harassment? Also, isn't there a law that requires a valid reason? I lived with my fiance overseas and we have been engaged for over a year. I currently am in America proving I can support her. Apparently, none of the documents mattered. I have plenty of evidence for a bona fide relationship as I was overseas working and that is how I met her. I lived with her for 3.5 months. Plenty of photos, etc. She said people outside of the embassy said she could interview again in 14 days. Has anyone ever heard of this? It looks like I will travel back to the Ukraine very soon. Any help here is appreciated.

NOWAY that any CO would say this.

1- I suggest you post your fiance picture her then we can judge if the CO can say what you have mentioned or not.

2- After translating the Russian letter, she said she was in the bar so maybe she was drunk while she was sending you.

3- You wrote this story only for fun, yes you made it, we all had fun.

We cannot be sure of having something to live for unless we are willing to die for it.

Anytime a visa is denied a piece of paper stating why is given. She needs to send you by some method this piece of paper. (Scan, mail, whatever).

She cannot interview again if she was denied. If there was a denial the petition will be returned where it will most likely be permitted to expire. Then you will have to start all over.

All you have to do is check this website https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? it will tell you the satus if it says denied then she was denied then what you have to do is find out the exact reason she was. If you can't get thier number try emailing them because something is not right here.

Legally, you cannot be denied a visa because you are "ugly". This would never happen. Calm yourself.

It just sounds weird to me that she was not given any paper, that does not happen - for all refusal they would give a paper indicating why the visa was refused.

Also other thing that sounds weird to me is, if she knew she was going for fiancee visa why would she be talking about work visa outside the consulte with other ppl?

Nothing is OBVIOUS on the interweb.

That is because Google translate does a very poor job of translating Russian to English or English to Russian for that matter. So the OP took what his fiancee typed into Skype and pasted into Google translate is my take on this.

OP: Your finacee was denied the visa for a reason she is not telling you and you need to talk to her about the interview process. It maybe something she didn't do right or it might be because she cannot speak English very well or some other reason she is embarrased to tell you. IMHO, if you want this relationship to succeed, you need to careflly and slowly explore why the visa was denied. Once you have that infomation you can see if you can overcome that and try again. I would recommend that if you try again, you get married and go for the spousal visa (I-130). I could be as simple as she got scared and did not show up to the interview. I would look here before I would jump to the "she scammed me" train of thought, but then I tend to give people a couple benefits of the doubt.

Explore why the visa was denied with her and see if this can be fixed.

Good luck,

Dave
