Are wedding pictures required for CR1 visa interview?

I have filed i130 for my wife in January. We are legally married but we didn't have a wedding yet. Just wanted to know if it is required to have pictures of wedding before the interview that should be scheduled once i130 is approved and went through NVC process. 

 

I want to have the wedding after granting the visa to wife not before then, is that possible?

Yes, actually, you are. You could correctly say, "I was asked at this embassy for wedding photos at my interview."  That would be sharing your experience.  You should not say "this is required" w

No it doesn't.   It says to bring evidence of a relationship SUCH AS family photographs, letters... etc... It says nothing about photos being required nor about photos of a wedding being required

We didn’t sent them any wedding pictures because we had a ceremony at the courthouse and it was just ny husband and I

Pictures are not mandatory but it is highly advised.

Pictures with each others families are a good thing to have them see.

Met 6/21/15 Online

Married since February 29th 2016 In the Netherlands (Where she is from)

6/12/16 - Preparing to send packet to USCIS

6/27/16 - Sent Package to Chicago lock-box via UPS

7/5/16 - NOA1 Text/Email / sent to Potomac (Hardcopy 7/10/16)

8/3/16 - NOA 2 I-130 Approved! Case sent to NVC! (Hardcopy 8/6/16)

8/19/16 to 9/4/16 - Visited wife for two weeks in NL. =}

9/1/16 - NVC Case and invoice # received. (Email) Finished DS260 and Paid AOS Fee.

9/8/16 - IV Fee Paid!

9/16/16 - DS260 Finished!

9/27/16 - Sent Documents to NVC.

11/21/16 - Called NVC. Case reviewed and accepted on 11/18. Waiting for email/mail.

11/28/16 - Got Email stating we are now waiting for an interview spot!

12/11/16 - Got the interview date! 1/12/17!

1/12/17 - ...ACCEPTED SHE IS NOW WAITING FOR HER PASSPORT IN THE MAIL! =]

1/18/17 - Passport and visa in her hands! We now wait till 2/24 for her to fly to me! (Has to finish work contract)

2/24/17 - She is now here with me! POE was simple,she only took 10 minutes with them checking her visa! "Welcome to America,missus"

3/15/17 - SSN Card Received.

4/10/17 - Greencard Received.

 

Preparing I-751 (ROC)

11/26/18 - I-751 Prepared and mailed out.

11/27/18 - UPS Confirmed Delivery at 10:30AM

12/3/18 - Checks cashed and got Email/Text With Receipt #

01/3/19 - Extension letter received.

Of course it's possible.  You're married.  Photos together are important.  Photos of a "wedding" are not.

Wedding pictures are required specially on interview because it is a proof of bonafide marriage your wedding pics with family. I took my whole album on my interview and CO asked me which one is your favorite wedding pic

This is from US embassy Islamabad and cleary mention a person should bring family photographs so it is required

From what I understand, whether wedding photos are 'required' or not is dependent on the individual embassy. I suppose in cultures where family approval of the marital union is important, wedding photos will be good to have. That said, 'family photographs' is open to interpretation so really, it is rather subjective, I think.

No,they are not required.  Please do not spread misinformation.

 

My wife and I have NO wedding pictures.....

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

It says nothing about photos being required nor about photos of a wedding being required.

I am not spreading misinformation. In US embassy pakistan CO asked me do you have wedding pictures not family pictures. They wanted to see wedding pics so i guess its vary from embassy to embassy. Here people on visa journey share information according to their experience. My experience was different from yours so i share my information that does not mean i am spreading misinformation

Yes, actually, you are. You could correctly say, "I was asked at this embassy for wedding photos at my interview."  That would be sharing your experience. 

You should not say "this is required" when that item is not required.  Had you not provided that item did not mean they would not have granted the visa.  Saying an absolute like this is calling it a fact.

Just because the  CO asked, it does not mean that wedding pictures are required.  If wedding pictures were required the checklist would say so....It DOESN'T!!
