    Agree,

What else do you have to show strong ties?  A common question "how can you take 3 months off of your job", your answer "I quit my job".  So what else can you show that you must return?

    Good luck

I'm sorry, I am not sure I understand.  He went to prison.  What was the charge?

How can he have a prison record but not a criminal record?

Don't apologize for asking questions, when I was going through this process everyone was very helpful and supportive when I asked the silliest of questions.

Montreal is exceptionally strict about domicile.  You will likely have to move back to the US before your family.  For right now you can list your parents address as where you intend to live but update it when you move.  There is no way around this, peek at the Canadian regional forum and you will get great advice about establishing domicile.

Nothing is automatic.  There is an old belief that marriage to a US citizen grants automatic citizenship.  That is not the case.

Where, like your Crazy Cat asked, is your husband now.

Technically k-1 is a non-immigrant visa.  And although refusal of admittance with a k1 is rare, an issuance of a k-1 visa will never guarantee entrance into the US, this is only reserved for US citizens.

OP I was denied entrances into the US twice so I understand!  It will be discussed at your interview but honesty is the only policy.  Heck!  I played it up “of course wanted to visit him as often as possible, look at him!  And he treats me good too!”  The CO laughed and moved on.

you will probably stress until admittance into the US if you are anything like me but VJ is a great support system.

canadian_wife reacted to Wuozopo in Case denial- please help!
Her argument sounds dodgy.  She couldn’t fill out a work permit application  because she was so sick, yet she managed to do all of the class work to graduate from UofH with a 3.9 while she was so sick. AND instead of going with the sick documentation, she seems to have informed USCIS about graduating and thus no longer a student. (She said she included a letter from her counselor.)  A company will have to sponsor her for a work visa whether she is present in the US or back in her home country. Student visas have restrictions on where one can work..campus jobs, right?  So how is applying for her student work permit going to allow her to stay in the US in permanent employment with an oil company?

Maybe I am just not following the plot about what she was applying for. Was it OPT? Why was it due in December?  What triggered the due date? Can you explain better than she did?

canadian_wife reacted to waiting1234 in K1 Visa COVID-19 Vaccination Requirements
I can give you another reason. Because some countries this adds another 2 month wait for people already waiting almost two years. In some cases you can’t even find the second dose for the vaccine you have for months. Additionally the vaccines available are absolute trash and show little effect against new covid strains unless you can get an rna one which are hard to find.

In the US they could just make a thing you have to do before you adjust status. But no. More stress and pain for people who have already gone through so much showing just how little the government cares about both its current and future citizens.

Just in case I misread, you mean to have the wedding in Morocco AFTER your marriage in the US correct?  Because that is the only order it can occur if you do not want any issues.

canadian_wife got a reaction from Nyla J in differrence between getting married in mexico or at the intnl. bridge?
Neither, where you get married has no bearing on the length of the process. She'll need to start and finish the entire process while in Mexico
What I would look at, is where to get married that offers the fastest issuance of the marriage certificate. Since you cannot file without it, which location offers the marriage certificate same day (or within a few days)
    Good luck

The “worried for her safety” concerns me.  Why would the consular officer say that?  If that is truly what was said then that also may need to be over come.  Your official reason for denial is common so there may be something lying underneath.

    good luck
