Anti-vaxxer and I-693
appleblossom replied to EMBELL_17's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
It's usually just on her Summary Care Record which she can request via email from her GP, or even download herself from the NHS app if she has that. Yes and yes. It'll probably be other ones that we don't normally have in the UK too i.e. Hep B, unless she got them somewhere else of course. -
Anti-vaxxer and I-693
appleblossom replied to EMBELL_17's topic in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America
A waiver is available but there is pretty much no chance of it being granted if she's had vaccinations in the past. She can locate her vaccine records from her GP in the UK, or just have a titre test to check for immunity and find out which ones she needs. -
MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT N-600K Please HELP
appleblossom replied to Sab1's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
The people you've tagged also haven't been on the forum for a year or so. You can look at their profiles and see if they are still active members or not. People will respond when they can. -
It's nothing to do with the consulate any longer, they don't process AP. AP can't be expedited but you can file a WoM if you want to try and force them to make a decision.

MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT N-600K Please HELP
appleblossom replied to Sab1's topic in US Citizenship General Discussion
Mike left the forum last year, see his most recent post (scroll down). https://www.visajourney.com/profile/308549-mike-e/ But I'm sure somebody will help if/when they can. Good luck. -
If you're spending a year at school then presumably you have school vacations, so why not just come back to the US then? That would then mean your continuous residence requirement wouldn't be reset. My daughter is at college overseas but has 7 months of studies and 5 months of vacation that she will be spending in the US each year. Otherwise, as Boiler said, you'd have to wait to be eligible again before you can file. AP will mean you don't lose your LPR status, but doesn't help with maintaining continuous residence.

There's no need to be defensive, it was just a question. A consular processing application would have made far more sense given your situation and I think @SalishSea was just wondering if there was another reason you chose AOS, or if perhaps you were misadvised. Hope that the appeal is granted, good luck.

Please take the caps lock off. It's considered 'shouting' in forum netiquette. 6 months would be pretty quick, even the quickest consulates are 3-4 months for spouses and Lagos had a big backlog. There's also a much higher chance of being put in to Admin Process in Lagos, so do factor that in. Is your wife a US citizen?
-
@Crazy Cat has already done it for you. What kind of case, spousal I assume? You can request an expedite if you have valid grounds - your wife having financial issues wouldn't qualify you though. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/national-visa-center/immigrant-visas-processing-general-faqs.html#ivp7

DS-160 isn't just for tourist visas. It has to be completed for K-1 applicants too. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/family-immigration/nonimmigrant-visa-for-a-fiance-k-1.html#5

Advice on DIY vs a cheap service

Says the man that didn't do it and thought it was just a one page form. 😂 -
Advice on DIY vs a cheap service
appleblossom replied to SmokeyWA's topic in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Things really must have changed in the past decade if your wife only filled in a one page form for AOS. Just the I-485 is a far longer form than the I-129f now, and then of course add in the I-864, and possibly I-131 and I-765 as well. Overall probably 40+ pages of forms for most. -
Tourist Visa for Mother in Law from Philippines
appleblossom replied to DELTAFOXTROT's topic in Tourist Visas
So you’re basing this on experience from a decade ago? 😂 Just pop over to the K1 forums and that’ll give you up to date info. I-129f’s for Filipinos are processed at exactly the same rate as those from every other country. They’re only processed at one service center now. -
Visa denied, told to apply "in the future"
appleblossom replied to imkmsitsover's topic in Tourist Visas
ESTA? Ok, so now you need to apply for a B. -
SB-1 would be a last resort option normally. High refusal rate and you'd have to prove you couldn't return to the US due to reasons out of your control which isn't true. Accepted reasons would be things like being hospitalised etc, not just losing your green card and not wanting to pay for a boarding foil. Why not just get yourself over to the US asap as everybody has suggested above?

March 2024 - AOS Filers
appleblossom replied to Etherial's topic in Adjustment of Status Case Filing and Progress Reports
7 months since you filed? Average processing times for AOS over the past Fiscal Year is 13.6 months. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/historic-pt
