    Might be worth re-reading the advice you’ve already been given on your other thread. Yes, as you’ve been told it will be many years before your children can move if you petition them. Whereas if your spouse does then they’re classed as immediate relatives so it’ll be much quicker. So again, as you’ve been advised you should pause your own application now (before you start to apply for a visa) and wait for your children to catch up. You just need to petition your eldest once get your GC as you married after they turned 18, so your spouse can’t petition him/her. But this is all in your other thread.

    It’s not ‘sir’. Neither of those really prove domicile, lots of people have drivers licences for somewhere they don’t live. Are you in the US or outside it?

    For what kind of case? If an immediate relative then as @Boiler said, normally 2 years, but if you're applying via Pakistan then probably longer as they have a big backlog there.

    Says they applying to remove conditions on his 2 year green card - so he was a LPR from the sound of things. Doesn't sound like he's eligible to use ESTA if he's never given that status up?

    No, because you've already established you're a US citizen. Now it's your spouse applying for a visa, you've already petitioned her.     Presumably this is in case you get selected next year? So you've got plenty of time, personally I wouldn't risk it and if you've laminated yours I'd get new copies. Good luck.

    Do you mean for an interview? Nigeria's a couple of years for most applications, but family based will be prioritised, so I'd guess maybe 3 years for EB applicants.

    DQ should be pretty quick. You can check current timelines here (it’s updated weekly) - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html Your PD is current but it’s about a 2 year wait for an interview at Islamabad. So I’d guess at some point in 2026, hopefully in the first half of the year if they speed up a bit. Good luck.

    Does she just want her to visit, or to move permanently? Is your spouse a citizen? Which country is her mother in?

    If you were only DQ’ed in August it’s too early to be expecting an IL. Even the quickest consulates are 3 months or so, and CJ has a fairly hefty backlog I think. Might be worth searching timelines to find other cases and see what the wait’s like at the moment but I think it’s about a year. Good luck.

    I’ve read it. I don’t understand why you wouldn’t just apply so that you know for sure what the situation is, rather than this endless guessing game. If you don’t know, then none of us can possibly guess. So as you’ve been told, just apply and see what happens. Then you can work out your next step from there, if needed.

    When does her current visa expire? You say ‘soon’, have you got time to get married and sort it? Don’t let her go out of status.

    But you said they’ve been American citizens since birth? So they’re already dual citizens.

    If they were US citizens at birth then they just need US passports. They must enter the US on those passports.

    I don’t really understand what you’re asking then. You seem to have no clue what actually happened 9 years ago so why not just try? Then at least you’ll know one way or the other.

    That won't be helpful if she didn't naturalise until 2011 anyway. So she hasn't worked since 2011? What do you have that's more recent? Lease/mortgage? Bank statements showing her making regular payments for things like gas or groceries (things that show in person payments, not online)? Car insurance? Medical records? Etc. Basically anything to show she was physically in the US for those years.

    You'd have to go to Mexico City. By the time you've got an appointment and then got the boarding foil back, I agree with @Family, couriering the GC is likely to be a much quicker option.

    No way it’ll be that quick, those will only be non-immigrant visas. Even the quickest consulates are 3-4 months, some as long as 2+ yrs. I don’t know where Abu Dhabi falls in that range but you can search the forum for timelines. Good luck.

    Not necessarily the consulate. From the link above: "We will alert you via SMS and email when your passport is ready to be picked up (see Step 1 for information about the required online registration for this service". I'm not the OP, so it's not relevant to me. But just had a vague recollection I'd seen on VJ about people going to collect their passports for Lagos so checked the webpage above which seems to say the same. But could well be out of date info maybe.
