Wait. She was denied AOS because she didn't include the I-864. Couldn't she have re-filed the AOS with the proper forms within the 30-day period? Or am I just confused?
 
Regardless, at this point, there's not much else that can be done. I think the person's going to have deal with a ban. And no, I don't think she can apply for another AOS.

More specifically, you would be able to apply for entry with F-1 status. You would not be able to do so with intent to file for AOS again - it must be to complete your studies then return home.
That said, a recently filed AOS application is a very strong cause to be denied entry under F-1 status due to immigrant intent.

EAD received today! New interview is in 8 days haha. Do I need to hand over the EAD at the interview? Kinda hoping to hang on to it if I can as I have no ID in my married name and it would be useful to use if green card takes a while or if there are any more unforeseen issues.

Update: case is ready to be schedule for an interview

EAD Approved without RFE!! That took 6 months. shout out to all NY people out there... they didnt forget about us. 
 
I've been dying to start working again but since it's the holiday season and might take couple weeks for the card to arrive (hopefully no MIA or typo), so i'll wait till the new year to get back on the work force... still, lots of weight off my mind.

Interview on January 8th.
Just 4 months after sending AOS package and in a field office where for average time it says 14-27 months...
