Sweety sweety reacted to designguy in US embassy immigration case update at ceac
They never ask for PC from Pakistan as its worthless. Its often suggested for Pakistani citizen not to do the medical because of the long AP times which end up resulting in the medical expiring before the visa would be issued. While the fact you were born and raised in Qatar may work in your favor its unknown exactly how long the AP will take. At this point just keep checking for correspondence from the Consulate because they will request your passport back when they are getting ready to issue your visa.

There have been reports of same day visa issuance in Pakistan, maybe going through a third party consulate has delayed matters.

This seems to be a classic case of Administrative Processing which is common for Pakistan nationals. It could take quite a while. Try to be patient. Good luck.

Since they didn't keep your passport, I would brace for a longer wait - could take any amount of time. I would check through the Pakistan forum, and read about the experiences with AP. Although yours may be different, you can see how it goes, and how long it takes for others.

Did they keep your passport?
It appears they've put you in Administrative Processing, which is common for many MENA countries (not sure specifically about Qatar). The standard response is this can take a few weeks, months, or even year/s, no one really knows, and it can't be expedited.
If they kept your passport, that's generally a good sign that maybe it will only be one week.

Sweety sweety reacted to Ruthie in My interview at embassy is scheduled ..worried about public charge form
We've been waiting over two years for a 601 waiver. We had to file a mandamus to get them to make a decision. He was approved for the waiver a day after the US government received the subpoena. He was approved today at the consulate for his visa!

Sweety sweety reacted to Crazy Cat in CEAC says visa refused?!?!? Consular officer said we were all good
What paperwork did she receive after the interview? This is likely just normal processing status. The fact that the consulate kept her passport indicates it is likely to be completed soon. Watch for the status to change to "issued" That is the real indicator of approval.

Sweety sweety reacted to SalishSea in Sponsor using Medicaid
No, it means that if the petitioner (primary sponsor) is financially unable to sponsor the immigrant, an eligible joint sponsor may be used. "Lining up" just refers to having it arranged ahead of time.

Sweety sweety reacted to milimelo in Joint sponsor
Umm, you better get used to being gainfully employed. How old are you that you're still dependent on your divorced mother? Seriously? Get a job with benefits so you can provide for your spouse.
-
Sweety sweety reacted to milimelo in Joint sponsor
I think you may want to check the poverty guidelines- I-864p on USCIS.gov
if your petitioner is only earning 12k you will be in poverty. And this is without health insurance.
May want to suggest to the petitioner to get a better paying or a second job.

They will look both at your and your sponsor’s income.

Sweety sweety reacted to Chris Parker in NVC Automated Messages
The identical message above also occurs when an RFE response is received.
It is also important to mention that, since not all immigrants require affidavits of support and it is a rather new (only 10 years) requirement, the IVR has no messages for the generating, receiving, or review complete of the Affidavit of Support. However, it does have a special IVR message when an RFE is generated from Affidavit of Support review:
Affidavit of Support RFE:
"The NVC has reviewed your packet of forms and found information missing or incomplete on your financial information. The NVC sent a checklist letter on ... "

Sorry to say but it’s most likely they will reject it as they want to see your more than 6 months good income in your bank account ..with a letter from your work place ..so better not take risk and get a black mark of rejection as everything gets recorded in Embassy ..it will be a good idea if she comes to see you and then you can show her travel doc for approval of K1 visa .

The thing is, everything you’ve mentioned as a reason to return home is something you will be giving up if things go well and you end up taking the K-1/CR-1 route. I had a house, well-paid job, 4 siblings, my mother, friends, financial commitments, government-provided healthcare (when you have epilepsy as I do this counts for a lot), etc in the UK. All of that was given up when I applied for my CR-1. And the same applies to everyone who has moved here. People have even left children behind.
Just mentioning this because everything you consider a “strong tie” or reason to return home, the embassy has seen countless people leave behind.

Maybe in Qatar it is, some countries have their own requirements, it is certainly not the case as a general rule. If it is required for Qatar then that is probably because of the huge number of non-nationals working there.

You are beneficiary and may not know people in the US. Your spouse should have his family or friends be the joint sponsor and have them complete the form so if CO doesn’t accept the existing one, you have a backup plan.

Please fill out your timeline and profile. What visa are you applying for?
For IV the case remains at NVC until NVC has scheduled an appointment for interview for you. Since most embassies have not resumed interview scheduling, it can take a while until it’s your turn.
Only after your interview has been scheduled, your case will get sent to the embassy.
